I'm open to trying all activities, and love to be shown new things. I also have many activities of my own that I'd love to share - scuba diving, sailing, hiking, camping, golf, skiing, and travel. Plus I love outdoor dining/people watching. Farmer's markets, wine-tasting, beer festivals, movies, concerts. I like coffee more than tea, but still like tea. Dogs over cats, but still like cats. Red wine over white wine, but still...no, on that one I have to stay firm - I only like red. ;-) Goals and aspirations? Well, I'm not that goal driven (which is NOT to say I'm aimless and shiftless***I just enjoy making the most out of time here, treating people well, and am perfectly content if I don't change the course of the world. World-changers never seem all that happy. I really don't like it, but I don't want to hurt anyone's feelings, so I won't say anything about it. But it clouds my ability to bond with someone. No preference as long as everyone is nice. :-)

Okay...taking a different approach...going to tell you what I'm NOT looking for...if you are a player, cheater, liar, etc. just pass by...goes for too young too or too old...if you are unavailable for whatever reason, eg. work too much, you have young kids, you travel a lot for business, too many hobbies, live to far away, whatever....probably best to go to the next chick. Here's a few other dislikes: pets, drugs, smoking (trying to quit myself...so you get it). chauvinist, macho men, disgruntled people.Just looking for a regular, normal, decent guy to hang out with, have fun and see where it goes.I'm not going to try to convince you that I'm super woman on here, I'm fun, I'm real, I'm honest, so hit me up. All I'm really trying to do is to live the best life I can, make some friends along the way, and maybe make a difference. I live very simply. I just appreciate all I have and don't want for much. Having said that, I do enjoy indulgences from time to time, like my yearly 2 day retreat. (My profile picture was taken on October 27, ***while relaxing and reconnecting with me.) I am a nurse by profession, which means I am a nurturer to a fault, and sometimes I forget to take care of me. So, I escape from time to time to just "be". Not many can understand that. But they don't have to. It makes me a better person and I understand it. I am a contradiction on most days, and as a Gemini, sometimes hard to keep up with. I don't apologize for being me, but will apologize for how that may make you feel at times. I am honest and I am loyal. My favorite quote is from my favorite film, The Shootist: "I won't be wronged. I won't be insulted. I won't be laid a hand on. I don't do these things to others and I require the same in return."I do believe people can change under extraordinary circumstances and those circumstances cannot be imposed by another person. So, no, I don't try to change people. I accept them for who they are and hope they accept me for who I am. That doesn't mean I wouldn't want to be a better friend or lover. I just know that expectations can really ruin a relationship.I like a man who is polite and protective, but understands that while I am a strong and independent woman, sometimes I need and WANT to be taken care of. Not in a materialistic sort of way. there's a difference between taking CARE of me, and taking care of ME. He can expect the same in return. I want someone who can share some of my interests, but also introduce me to his. It's okay if we disagree, respectfully. But just as I'll try his activities at least once (twice to be fair in my assessment), I like him to try mine as well. So for my favorites that are kind of non-negotiable, I mean, real deal breakers...; Orders, CSIs, NCIS, Criminal Minds, etc.), and spontaneous drives on beautiful days with the top down and no particular place to go. I'm also a fan of experimenting with food, flea markets, tourist traps, and sleep with windows open and the fire roaring on a cool night. My perfect match will be mature enough to respect boundaries. I am interested in a long term relationship but am in no hurry to get there. I don't give out my phone number after one ***, but I also don't like to engage in endless *** text messages. I pay a hefty sum to Verizon to talk on the phone and prefer that method of communication once we've agreed we'd like to talk to get to know each other a little before we set up a "date".If any of this sounds interesting, why not ***?
