All I'm really trying to do is to live the best life I can, make some friends along the way, and maybe make a difference. I live very simply. I just appreciate all I have and don't want for much. I don't apologize for being me, but will apologize for how that may make you feel at times. I am honest and I am loyal. My favorite quote is from my favorite film, The Shootist: "I won't be wronged. I don't do these things to others and I require the same in return."I do believe people can change under extraordinary circumstances and those circumstances cannot be imposed by another person. So, no, I don't try to change people. I accept them for who they are and hope they accept me for who I am. That doesn't mean I wouldn't want to be a better friend or lover. I just know that expectations can really ruin a relationship.I like a man who is polite and protective, but understands that while I am a strong and independent woman, sometimes I need and WANT to be taken care of. Not in a materialistic sort of way. there's a difference between taking CARE of me, and taking care of ME. He can expect the same in return. I want someone who can share some of my interests, but also introduce me to his. It's okay if we disagree, respectfully. But just as I'll try his activities at least once (twice to be fair in my assessment), I like him to try mine as well. So for my favorites that are kind of non-negotiable, I mean, real deal breakers...; Orders, CSIs, NCIS, Criminal Minds, etc.), and spontaneous drives on beautiful days with the top down and no particular place to go. I'm also a fan of experimenting with food, flea markets, tourist traps, and sleep with windows open and the fire roaring on a cool night. My perfect match will be mature enough to respect boundaries. I am interested in a long term relationship but am in no hurry to get there. I don't give out my phone number after one ***, but I also don't like to engage in endless *** text messages. I pay a hefty sum to Verizon to talk on the phone and prefer that method of communication once we've agreed we'd like to talk to get to know each other a little before we set up a "date".If any of this sounds interesting, why not ***? I am an even-tempered, patient, & hard working individual. I am a good listener & love music of all genres, but I would have to say my favorite type of music would be Jazz. I am happy, fun and sarcastic (in a fun way), I am adventurous, fun loving, caring, Independent, very thoughtful and so much more. I like to stay busy. It has been said that I never sit still. I love to camp, I have been toldI am a great cook and I love to bake, I ride ATVs and wave runners, I like to swim, go boating, bike riding, walks, hiking, country dancing, going to the movies but if you want to cuddle up and watch a movie at home I can practically guarantee I will fall asleep. I like to do almost anything and I will at least try most things once. I like most music (except rap) but mostly listen to country, go figure.I am comfortable in jeans and cowboy boots(with spurs) but I can also dress up and go out or hostess a party. I appreciate a gentleman and make my man feel like a man whenever I can. But I am a very capable woman and can do home improvement projects (not always perfect but I can do them). Besides my horse I have 3 dogs***large labs and a heeler. I am a morning person even on the weekends, sorry I have an internal alarm clock (farmer's daughter). I will not wake people up to do things but have been known to paint a room, cook breakfast or clean the house while waiting for everyone to get up.
