I guess I am not typical of a woman my age.....I am not looking for the white picket fence...I want someone who is willing to invest as much as I am in a mutually satisfying pairbond...not looking for a signer on a mortgage...not to say that I don't want commitment...but actual dedication to spending time with me is what counts...I'm not really out going...unless I am exiting a building. I usually have a book nearby, and I am not afraid to read it. I like all kinds of music from Joan Baez to Gin Blossoms to Slipknot to Harry Connick, Jr to Tchaikovsky to the Foo Fighters. I am a published poet, short fiction writer and photographer. I like to paint and to make objets d'art from found items. I enjoy road trips and cooking and urban hiking. I like picnics and poetry and cemeteries....I will often combine the three. I like coffee and old bookstores...nothing smells better than an old book... I watch superhero movies and cartoons and porn...sometimes I watch pornographic superhero cartoons. I can be a sophisticated redneck. I live for wit and sarcasm and a dry sense of humor. I love a great writing *** learning about serial killers.I am looking for a companion and partner in crime. Someone to laugh with, go for walks, try new restaurants with...someone who is cool to hang out in jammie pants all day playing X-men vs Street Fighter and eating cereal, but still be willing to go to an art show if the occasion were to arise. Artistic is a plus, but an appreciation of art is a must...great sense of humor and ability to make fun of themselves as well as others because my acidic life observations have no limits...must be confident and secure and be able to hold a conversation with me without busting out a dictionary.     I'm a single mom with 3 amazing kids. I'm not looking for anything serious at first, am totally willing to take my time. You have to live and take chances and make things happen, they're not going to just do it on their own. And I'm not afraid of a little excitement, road less traveled or taking a few chances. My father was a HUGE comedian, adored him! Always made me laugh. He passed his sense of humor down to me and of course, my kids are the same. I love to laugh! I don't like to be around negative people. Again, life is too short to dwell on negative things, I prefer to see the positive. I don't care for overly critical people either. No one is perfect, thank goodness, and I'm far from it. But I don't need to be told constantly either. I believe in accepting and learning from all of our differences. No one's way is the ultimate RIGHT way, it's the right way for THEM. I'm perfectly capable of agreeing to disagree. I love getting to know new people and hear their outlook on life and how it's different. I would never judge or put down someone for believing or feeling different than me. Something else my parents taught me. I'm full of compassion, affectionate (love to cuddle, love that subtle touch when passing by each other) and totally goofy. It's just me. I would definitely NOT be described as a stick in the mud, however, I am very classy. I don't mind picnics, watching movies at home, but I do love to dress up and go have a great evening! (minus the kids, haha)If this hasn't scared ya off, YAY me! Better be more than dinner and a movie, please...at our age it's been done to death. Get creative!
