Hi there! Before I start, I'm going to give you advanced warning: I probably have the longest profile on this site. I'm a writer, so it's my nature to go into details. If you want the abridged version: I'm a great guy and worth taking a chance on. But if you want to know more about me, please read on. I've been writing on-and-off for a while now, and I hope to self-publish my first book soon. I've always been a very creative person when it comes to the arts and I like to think of myself as a modern-day renaissance man. I have a thirst for knowledge and am always collecting new skills: As well as being a writer, I'm most prominently an artist and a computer programmer (neither professionally, of course.)As for hobbies, outside of my creative endeavors, I enjoy watching movies and television, playing video games*, reading books (or the web) or just listening to music. I don't really care for sports and have never been a bar/nightclub guy. That's not to say I wouldn't enjoy taking a girl out places if that's what she likes, but for me, home is where the heart is.Personality-wise, I tend to be very laid-back and easy-going (most people would say I have a calm, collected demeanor.) Although I can be very passionate at times (all that Italian blood, heh.) I'm also very funny, and I can usually bounce between silly and goofy humor to something a bit more dry, sarcastic and deadpan at any moment. I like to make others happy, I have what some call a "white knight personality" because I'm very protective of people I care about and I tend to put their needs ahead of my own. As such, you'll find that I'm very kind, caring, loyal, and honest to a fault. I'm also a very decent guy, with old-fashioned morals and family values, like a gentleman from an age long ago that you rarely see outside of Black and White movies anymore. And since this is a dating site, I should mention that I'm also a total romantic and very affectionate. I'm the type of guy who would prefer to spend quality time cuddling on the couch in front of a movie or the fireplace with the girl he loves over anything else. And no, I'm not talking about sex, I'm just talking about holding her in my arms and sharing that moment.As for the type of girl I'm looking for? Well, I guess I'm really just hoping for a girl who is smart, honest, and genuinely friendly and easy-going. Though, I will admit that I adore girls who are sweet, and can be silly, quirky, and even a little goofy sometimes. From my dad's, I'm Irish, English and French. But I'm all American. :DBody Type: I'm 5'8" and typically hover around ***lbs - People tell me I'm thin, but my BMI says I'm Average, so that's what I'm putting.Eye Color: I have blue eyes, but they change depending on what I'm wearing (to me, they always seem to look green.)Drinking: I'm not a drinker nor do I drink "socially". But I have had drinks before (I've never gotten drunk, though.)Smoke and Drugs: The hardest drug I've ever taken is Tylenol. I won't be with anyone who smokes or does drugs, and to the people to claim they don't do drugs but they smoke pot: Pot is a drug, I don't do it, and I'm not interested in you if you do.Pets: I don't currently have any pets, but I do love animals. I'm particularly a cat person. My family pet, who lives with my mom, is a beautiful, grey Long-Kids: I hope to have children some day, but I don't want to rush into them right away. :)Education: I briefly attended college to learn computer programming, but it didn't work out for me, so I left and taught myself programming on my own. So while I may not have a college degree, I am still incredibly intelligent ***IQ.Longest Relationship: The reason it's less than a year is not because I'm the type who doesn't stick around; it's because I've only had a few relationship and I had bad luck in each of them. I look much better in real life; But the lighting in my apartment is horrid for taking pictures on a cell, and I'm just not very photogenic.*Disclaimer: I know that some girls hear "Video Games" and a red flag automatically goes up the same way "Reality TV" shoots up a red flag for us guys. I assure you I am not one of those game-addicted guys who spends all day doing nothing but playing Call of Duty against 13-year- Games really are just a hobby for me, a form of entertainment that I sometimes indulge in. I often go days or weeks without playing because I'm wrapped up in other projects like my writing or artwork. And while I do enjoy a good first-person-shooter every once in a while, I close to never play games online. And in the rare *** do, it's usually with lifelong friends who live too far away to play with face to face (and rarely ever is it a first-person-shooter like CoD.)
