I love life, my children, my family, and my friends. I'm a very happy person who can have a good time wherever I go. I believe every situation is what you make of it! The true test of someone's character is not what happens to you in life, but how you choose to handle it. I am a very honest, trustworthy, loyal, generous, affectionate and loving person. I have a great sense of humor....what can I say, I'm perfect like everyone seems to be on dating sites! I am looking for someone that I connect with and we can start an honest relationship filled with laughter, communication and closeness. I am not interested in finding someone to seek to change them. I think to have a truly successful relationship with someone you have to accept all things about that person and vice versa! I love trying new things. I love anything to do with the water and being outside. I'm hoping to meet someone optimistic, with a great outlook on life. With two kids, two jobs, a house, dogs, etc., I have a very busy lifestyle and find it difficult to meet new people. So, I thought I would try this route because I'm curious where "40 somethings"! What can you really say in a paragraph about yourself, except that I think chemistry is really all that matters and if I could explain that I'd be a billionaire! Your profiles can match exactly and that doesn't mean a darn thing. In fact, most of the time opposites attract. It's just that feeling you get when you see someone. It can't be described, but we all know it and are here in search of it! The spark! I was a Navy submarine wife for 17 years, so I know how to be independent. That doesn't mean I don't want a man who holds my hand to lead me into a room and remembers to open my car door from time to time, etc. I also don't need a father figure, I already have the best dad in the world! And no, my children don't need a father either, they have a dad who loves them and lives nearby. I coached junior Olympic competitive gymnastics for 10 years and I really love working with kids, it's the greatest pleasure to coach kids and help them meet their goals! It's such a thrill. I really miss it, but I am thoroughly enjoying my free time! I love concerts, baseball games, pretty much any kind of social activity. I'm a big Yankees fan (sorry, but they do have the cutest players). I love cooking and entertaining, especially in the summer at my pool with friends and margaritas! Call me old fashioned, but I like it when the man plans the date.

    If only everyone would just get really honest. We're all hoping for the same thing and it would be so much easier to find that person we just really enjoy if we were all just ourselves.
