Everyone on meetville seems to state they enjoy traveling, so it may be cliche but I really do have a long list of places I'd like to visit/experience - have visited 23 countries and counting. Still have plenty of places within the US that are on the list, though. Other interests include: photography, hiking, hanging out with friends, art galleries/museums, dancing (CW/swing), festivals, winery tours, beaches, almost anything with good music (mostly Americana, blues, old rock) and people watching opps.I've been described by friends as genuine, intelligent, creative, independent, kind-hearted and adventurous. I try to live a balanced life (work, leisure, family, friends), have a broad range of interests, am a loyal friend and partner with a dry sense of humour, desire to try new things, a belief in lifetime learning and in karma ('do unto others' and all that). ISO connection with man who is honest and intelligent, who practices open communication, likes to converse and enjoys new experiences and adventures. My preferences run toward someone who is within 5 yrs of my age, tall (I'm 5'10"), reasonably attractive/fit/healthy, clean, financially responsible, emotionally mature, demonstrative, loyal and with a healthy sense of humor. Slightly jaded is okay (who isn't?), but constant negativity is a turn off. Definite plus if you like to dance to live music (CW/Americana), scuba dive or would like to learn (I would like to learn), and/or ride a motorcycle (I have my own bike and love riding hill country roads when the weather is nice). I love the idea of a Renaissance woman, and while I can't yet claim to be that, my goal in life is to learn about everything and, more importantly, how to do everything. So over time I've gained a few useful skills - give me a call if you need your roof fixed, a window replaced, a leaky faucet repaired, or a wall moved. I like projects (and power tools!). And have a heated discussion on the way home about whether string theory really does fit in to the explanation of how the universe began. After a few introductory niceties, you whisk me off towards a great little local restaurant run by a former celebrity chef where the entire menu, produce as well as livestock, is raised on a small plot of land behind the restaurant. We play and laugh with the free range chickens while we wait for our table to be prepared. Throughout dinner, we charm one another with our intellect and wit, sharing stories of past adventures and lifelong dreams. After dinner, you drive us by the beach, where we walk barefoot along the surf in the moonlight and happen upon a sea turtle nest where the hatchlings are just emerging. We marvel at the miracle of nature as the hatchlings make their way into the foamy waters, their fate unknown. The moonlight sparkles on the water, a pair of dolphins leap gracefully into the air. Our eyes meet. Without a single word being spoken, we exchange a devilish smile, strip down to our bathing suits (that apparently we were wearing under our clothes all evening), and dive into the warm waters. I had no idea you were a former olympic medal swimmer - you didn't include that in your profile! The local public radio station plays quietly on the car stereo as we each silently reflect on the evening and marvel at the connection between us. We're not certain when, but we will meet again.

Very high energy, self-deprecating, intelligent, decent West Coast girl just trying to find a good guy that can kiss.
