Hi!Thank you for stopping by! I enjoy the outdoors, the warmth of the sun and good friends. I have a 23 y/o daughter and she is currently living at home. She is a recent graduate from Hamline University. I asked her to say one good thing about me for my meetville profile. She rolls her eyes and says, "ugh...really? I guess you would be the cool mom." I realized that being the cool mom is not so bad. .......... I have never married, however I was in a 23 year long-term relationship with my Daughter's father.I am the property manager at a ***unit residential rental home community. I am in the process of finishing my last semester towards my Bachelors Degree in Law Enforcement/Criminal Justice and currently enrolled in my last two classes. I graduate in December ***. I volunteer for many non-profits, such as; a victim's advocate/liaison, the annual "Hope Rocks"-call for one of the Metro Sheriff's Departments. My journey has made me who I am and I feel good in my own skin. I tend to be competitive, walk off the beaten path, and I occasionally will step out of my comfort zone. I prefer honesty over flattery and I have a low tolerance for drama. Our vulnerabilities and imperfections are often what allow others to relate to us. My favorite types of food include; Sushi/sashimi, Thai, Indian, Mexican.....however a burger and a beer at a small town bar is always a great option. My musical tastes are all over the board, however I recently started listening to Cities 97. Does this mean I am growing up?     so I guess that this is the place where I talk about me. I must first say that like everyone else I'm really not good at this part. Most all of my family are still there .I am an outside girl at heart and love going on adventures to new places.Please forgive my grammar errors. I have done a lot of soul searching this past year and have decided that I have spent a great deal of my adult life lying to myself about what i want. I want a relationship. a partner. Confession time.. apparently I am horrible at the first date, I guess its nerves , not knowing how to act, not knowing how to show that I like someone. I am working on this flaw..I have very dry humor and I think that it may come off wrong..also working on this.. lolSide note... outward appearances you'll notice that I am a girly girl, I love my dress, doing my hair and wearing heels. But what you cant see is that I'm also very self reliant. I know how to spackle drywall I've done some light plumbing and Electrical. (I have changed out my garbage disposal and *** fans and dimmer switches) I can change a flat tire and change spark plugs. I took woodshop, auto shop and architectural drafting in high school. One summer our Father brought an old car home and as a summer project we dismantle that car bolt by bolt.I love to learn and thats all that stuff is. I read about something if I want to know how to do something. I think that a man that can fix things is sexy. There are a lot of things I cant do because im not smart enough or strong enough but damn it I will try. Please dont take this to mean that im a feminist in any way. I believe in equal rights but I love it when a man opens a door for me or offers me his arm and makes the first move and kisses me . I wasn't born in the south but I love thee Southern tradition.
