**** A quick note: I am not looking for ***/ chat buddies - there is life beyond the computer - if nothing progresses beyond a few days of endless banter, say "it's been nice chatting with ya, good luck in your search", move on, tempus fugit! Life is too short and precious to waste such effort in nothing that will not progress. In fact, say that to everyone! It is only common decency.Also, when we progress to exchanging numbers, again... Not looking for endless texting... The purpose is to make a date and meet up for coffee or dinner...I understand there are plenty of other more beautiful and prettier women than I who like to tease, stroke and boost your ego and waste your time) Rant over lol *****.... wait, never mind, they all die at the end of the movie. A Yin to my yang or a yang to my yin. Anyways, you get the picture. Someone who is an equal and balances me out (yeah, the scale is a bit outta whack). So a bit about me: I'm just a bit shy and quiet when you first met me, yet easy-going and friendly and out-going once you've met me. I am not one to talk your ear off. I've been told that I am funny and make people laugh (not quite sure how to take this -- do they mean I make them laugh as comedienne, or a source of laughter and ridicule - I guess that's up for you to decide. I can and do tend to be sarcastic and snarky but only with good intentions. I love to laugh and not take things too serious (tried that route before, didn't quite work out well for me). Games are only fun when everyone knows and plays by the same rules. I am not a good game player, strategies always ellude me - Sun Tzi would make an example of me. Drama belongs on TV or the movie screen. (I tried to get rid of it but i think the Voodoo priestesses ripped me off) At this point in my life, I want simple and easy...Believe it or not I've made it this far without heavy duty baggage ( i think a lot of it got lost back in ***???? Any ways, I don't have the claim stub, so it doesn't matter) I like 60's and 80's music with a bit of ABBA and Mozart thrown in. But can rock out just as good.I like to learn new things and will try almost anything just about once (maybe). So with that said, I am always learning something new about myself and the world everyday. I just recently discovered that I might have the travel bug and would eventually like visit a few places. But for now, going to Vegas for long weekends is the extent of it. And just once, i would like to do a "guy's weekend in Vegas" the whole whiskey and cigars, all night long at the craps table sort of thing. A bit about you: Someone who enjoys laughing yet knows when to be serious...likes the fine and good things in life yet can appreciate Honest Ed's style. You "give in" to go ballroom dancing one night and "make me" go to a Jay's game the next. You know what Wednesday and Saturday matinees means. You like to volunteer and help out at charity events. There are times for going out or staying in and watching that night t.v line-up. Willing to try out new stuff but also know to stick to the tried and true. And once in awhile sit back and be amazed with what crazy and whacky things civilization is up to.Someone who willing to learn new things with me and teach me things they've learned. You like to suit-up and have legend- wait for it- dary day/nites (bonus if you know what this is in reference to)and go dancing and dining, but you don't mind staying at home and watching T.V. (and yes, we can even watch hockey, football or your guilty pleasure of DWTS***but my club days and nights are long gone and in the past (R.I.P.)But the reality is, we are all just looking someone who can be happy with what we can offer and vice-versa...If you made it this far, yay!If I added you as a favourite - was surfing on the phone and your profile caught my attention for one reason or another.     So tired of all the games that r played on these sites. But a friend suggested i try this one. ....im a very open person. At times the filter between my brain and mouth doesnt work very well. If i think it, i speak it. I know what i want as much as i know what i donot want. Im not looking for someone to take care of me, i can do that on my own. Im looking for someone who is down to earth and knows how to treat others. I believe in treating the one i am with like he is my equal and showing him how much he means to me. I believe in taking care of myself, i.e. dressing appropriately for the occasion, my hair and makeup are done when i leave the house, i usually have my nails done, and ive recently started back to the gym. No, im not high maintenance, but i do believe if i can do these things for myself, then im going to. I can be classy, yet be just as comfy wearing sweats with my hair thrown up. Im just me, and its worked for me thus far. I try not to be judgemental, but that can be hard at times. Im 100% czechoslovakian, and that fire in me really comes out when it comes to my children/grandchildren. I hold those that i care for fiercely close and they are my number one concern. I guess im looking for that one who can take my breath away...i will know it when he comes along! That first "date" can be so awkward, which is why i like to get to know someone via phone calls/texts first before we do the meeting thing. You can actually find out alot about each other during a conversation if you just listen.

    I try to maintain a positive outlook on life. I would like to meet someone who is confident (but not arrogant) and passionate about what they do. I want someone who has integrity and believes that it is best to first establish a true friendship that could hopefully evolve into romance. I believe most of my friends would say I am quite funny. I can be sarcastic, but it is never intended to be mean-spirited. Basically, I love to laugh and it would be nice to find someone to share in that with me. I believe growing up in that environment has made me very down to earth. In other words, I'm not a high maintenance girl. I feel the need to tell about all the exciting hobbies and interests I have, but the truth is I have had many responsibilities. I like to have fun as much as anyone, but raising two sons has consumed most of my time in recent years. Of course, I wouldn't have it any other way. They mean everything to me, but my boys are getting older and more independent. They don't need me as much as they use to. That's not easy to accept, but it does give me a chance to pursue interests of my own. It would just be nice to someday find the right person to do those things with. I am not hard to please. I would enjoy going anywhere that provided a setting to have a good conversation.
