In time. But, I am from Queens, NYC. From a big family, Italian. Lived out west and in the Caribbean. Schooled to be a teacher, which I did for 11 years. Called a Jack of all trades because I have done a lot of different things. Get bored easy, love adventure and change. Been told from others that I am really funny, a great cook, exotic to look at, sexy, too nice and too sweet, intensely passionate, talk a lot, and brutally honest. Strangers often spill their guts and life story to me. Traveling is big on my list, to me there is so much beyond this. Important for me to spend time in nature and run around the city. Love the beach.I always try to see things from another perspective. I enjoy being different and expressing who I am. Taking risks, having freedom while being in a committed relationship. Nothing sexier. If you think about clipping my wings, I am gone! Have a really hard time with self centered, ego driven, surface people. I will never lose the child in me, love to play and need that in the person I fall for. I am a romantic who is old fashioned and wants the whole complete package. I cry at movies, sometimes commercials. Love walks. Whoever I am with has to be clear and know what they want. Take a stand, jump in, be bold, but yet still be scared. Life is for living and most adults I meet seem already dead. Love a sexy life!Surround myself with people who are funny, very sweet and loving, strong, giving, healthy, happy, successful, wise and crazy fun. Have to be with people who connect deeply, can be honest, direct and tell me how it is. Do not put up with bad tempers. Love to talk but then there is the time for being quiet. You know?Being a Mother is seriously important to me. Family has always been very big part of my life.My heroes are anyone who takes risk, walks away from a fight, smiles and gives love to a mean person, steps up to the plate, can cry and lives in their truth. And still likes roller coasters. Just playing. I do think those two characters are amazing. And believe that kissing is the most important thing...and everything else follows. It is all in the kiss. Have to admit I am always a little nervous the first meet. It almost feels like a job interview! So lets not call it a date. Lets just say we just happen to bump in to one another. Or maybe we just glance at one another over the display of beautiful, ripe, scented oranges? I love that.

This Plenty of Fish is really a crap shoot, isn't it? Well... here goes!A little about myself: I am a very physically active and intellectually curious person. I love the outdoors and anything related to the ocean. I exercise every day. I enjoy walking, jogging, aerobics, biking, hiking, camping, swimming, snorkeling, kayaking, and canoeing. I live close to the ocean and never get sick of the beach.I'm not much into shopping, unless it's vintage clothing stores and thrift shops. I love retro fashion, and have been told I resemble Bettie Page. I am into tiki culture and exotica music. In fact, I have quite a vinyl lp collection, which I will never get rid of. Call me "old school" if you will; I prefer the terms "classic" or "retro"I am a teacher. I love my work. That's very important to me. But after 12 years I'm ready to shift into a new direction so I am studying to be a holistic health coach. I am a vegan and I believe that good health and vitality begins with food. My health and my quality of life is very important to me, so I take very good care of myself. I eat very thoughtfully and I exercise every day.I love animals and feel that we share a common bond with them. I have one dog and three cats. If animals are not your thing, you probably wouldn't feel comfortable at my place.I believe that individual people can affect great change. I enjoy gardening, landscaping, and habitat restoration.I love camping more than staying in a resort hotel. But don't let my outdoors enthusiasm fool you. Who says you can't have the best of both worlds? My ideal man would be someone who is educated (I'll let you define what that means), and stable. I don't care about your income, just as long as you have a job. I'd prefer a man who loves the work he does. When we have a passion for our work, everything else seems to be at peace. He should be physically fit. Yes, it matters to me as much as I'm sure it matters to you guys. I'd like someone who enjoys working out, not seeing exercise as a chore. I would love to meet someone who likes jogging, biking, swimming, snorkeling, diving, and other water sports. If you go to the gym, even better. But what good the brawn if no brain? My match would enjoy stimulating conversation. He would be turned off by a female who doesn't have anything substantial to talk about. If he's looking for a botoxed, high maintenance, airhead type, I'm not his gal. I chose to tell the truth about my age. I am proud of being 50, mostly because I have kept myself in really good shape and I like how people react when I tell them my age. Truth be told, I look and feel better now than I did 15 years ago. Also, I'm not interested in a man who only wants to date much younger women. Can't we judge people by other means than their age? How 'bout mileage? Um, ok, maybe not!I think chemistry is important. I know it immediately. If it's not there, it's not there and we should move on, no hard feelings. But if there is chemistry... let's see where that takes us! A first date would, of course, be coffee (or other beverage of choice). We'll see if there are any sparks. I highly believe in sparks. If there is chemistry, then the time and place of a second date won't really matter. All that really matters is a place where we could talk and get to know each other a little better. I am a vegan so going out to Red Lobster or Outback Steak House is out of the question. I watch what I eat and maintain my figure, so Cheesecake Factory is also out of the question. However, I know of some fantastic vegan restaurants where we could enjoy the pleasure of really delicious, healthy food and enjoy stimulating conversation. Candlelight is optional, but a bottle of wine would be a nice touch!
