Even though I have made mistakes like most people, I can say I danced in the rain for the majority of my life and have experiences that might be considered unique to some people. I find as I get older I really do get wiser and become more easy going and stronger (mentally and physically like a spartan lol) with every life experience. Fitness and a healthy lifestyle is an important aspect in my life not only to be healthy but also because I have a weakness for sweets and chocolate. I will in about another year be living in an empty nest. My goal is to retire one day (that will likely be few years for the both us since you won't be more than a few years older; but we could start dreaming about it) with a travelling partner and someone who is lives healthy and financially stable to have fun in the retirement years and cross off that bucket list. I enjoy many activities such as mountain biking/cycling, boating/canoeing, river tubing and hiking in the mountains. I have recently found a new interest of spartan races and have found training for it really does make a person more stronger physically and mentally. I do enjoy sledding but haven't done that for years now. I am always open to try new things. One thing I think would be fun is to learn ballroom dancing. My partner might need steel toed boots though at the beginning. In the meantime I will keep doing zumba. I do enjoy the latin music. For those of you that don't have pictures posted. Hi!I enjoy being outdoors and staying active, but also enjoy live theatre, movies, or just sitting close and watching TV. How about lying on dock under a blanket at night and watching the stars? Fine dining is nice on occasion, but I love to cook too. I also like to draw, listen to music (even some rap:), read, and write. I love being with people and can’t handle seclusion for too long – people watching is an idle pastime, especially during the holidays:) I get good summer holidays, so it would be nice to have someone to spend some of this time with! Travelling more is a definite goal.I look young for my age - I'm 5'3", ***lbs, take good care of myself, but I am addicted to fake nails! lol! I've been alone for almost 3 years and, in that time, I have worked hard to complete a Masters degree - regrets and resentments are not part of my thought process. I have an awesome career and enjoy having the capacity to make changes. That being said, I need to be with a man who values intelligence in a woman, is confident, and likes his work (most of the time anyway). He must be happy, whole, kind-hearted, established, a good conversationalist, and enjoy frequent hugs, kisses, and snuggles. Holding hands, smiling, and eye contact are so necessary! A good sense of humour is important because I always look to the positive and love to laugh. (It's an art to turn even the worst coffee date into a funny story:) Being a visual person, I appreciate close-up and smiling pics that are current. I will only respond to men who are not afraid to take off their hats and sunglasses for pictures. No close up full-face pics, then no response...if I fear that I won't be able to recognize you when we meet, then I will not converse with you:(A Few Absolutes!!!!* I value family connections and raising children with a lot of effort, but I have already successfully raised two children and have no desire to venture back into rearing children. PLEASE...do not contact me if you spend weekends with your children.* Please be in relatively good shape...Can you see your toes while standing? Ok...You can bend over a little:) Lol!* Must be literate...seriously. The words "meet" and "meat" have two different meanings! * Must be either single, divorced, or widowed. "Separated" usually that a person still has not transitioned into the next phase in life and there is still work to be done. *Must not be sarcastic. Innuendo is fun though! It would be nice if you knew the meaning of this word. (Am I being sarcastic???) Haha! *Must have CLEAN, unstained teeth and an awesome smile. And....as I tried to portray in my profile...I am honest, busy, educated, and don't have time for dishonesty. I would rather talk on the phone than spend endless hours in text.
