Too much information makes online dating difficult; we tend to eliminate people prematurely before getting to know them, and basing it upon nothing more than a few photos, hobbies, and sentence structure. Because of this, I am hesitant to include too much…but here I goSince I am deciding on paint colors for a room there are splashes of different colors on most every wall. The cable guy was here to do a repair, and when he was finished he stood up and pointed to a color and said, “this one” and we chatted about it briefly. After he left, it occurred to me that was what I was missing. Why must we make this so difficult?I am on a mission to find an intelligent man with a sense of humor. We all have had past relationships and carry some baggage, so I’m not expecting to find perfection, but loyalty, honesty, and being treated as an equal are the most important qualities I am looking for in another person. Also, I want you to want me to have my own thoughts, opinions, and hobbies-even if we do not share them. Who wants a clone anyway??Okay, enough of the serious stuff…The fun side of me loves witty banter and intelligent conversation, attending concerts and festivals, last minute road trips without a plan, exploring different cultures, roller coasters, anything paranormal, and of course shinny girly stuff. I recently discovered bowling and yes, I am really bad at it.I grew up in the South but I lost my appreciation for southern foods. Other than that, I love trying new foods and restaurants. Disco music makes me crank up the volume and sing, but it’s still uncool to admit that. So, it is now called dance music and that is acceptable. I also love old rock from the 70s and 80s.I am a free-spirited individual and believe, wholeheartedly, in live and let live. I am able to laugh at myself, and for the most part, I am optimistic and easy going.And finally, I have never regretted putting my feelings on the line and making myself vulnerable - even when I didn’t get the person I wanted.Okay, now you have the inside scoop. Well, I enjoy traveling. Of course that's not everything but you get the jist of it.I live up to my horoscope sign's characteristics; I love adventure and I am a hopeless dreamer.I have two children at home still but that doesn't slow me down. They are older so it isn't difficult for me to find time for someone else.My career can be demanding. I do pretty good at balancing my personal life and my professional life. Musically...if you were to look at my music player you would think 'who is this person?' I like country, rock, 50's & 60's, some hip hop/rap, and pretty much anything that strikes my fancy at the time. I grew up in the 80's and basically suffered through the music of that decade, though.My best friend recently described my personality to me. She said I am outgoing, personable, and full of humor. I think what she meant to say when she said outgoing was outspoken. lol First dates are easy. The more casual they are the better. Anything is a good date. A laundromat at night with cold take out pizza is as good as a candlelit dinner for two. It's always about the person you spend your time with, not where you are or what you do.
