About Me

I've been single a while and don't do much dating. I am a full time student right now, as well as a single mother, so I am often busy. However, I'm ready to meet someone serious and I am not looking to just do the 'hook up' thing. I was in the Navy, 6 yrs. I'm old school punk at heart, back in the day-day. And a hippy-liberal politically active person to this day. I am from SoCal, moved here with my ex husband to raise our sons - they are ***twins) now. I also have 4 year old son that I raise alone. I have a pretty wicked sense of humor and adore dry wit. I love watching horror comedies & super bad SyFy movies for a laugh. More fun facts about me:I love how flies rub their hands together like tiny little criminals planning something maniacal.-woo'd by his peers, but it had staying power so who's laughing now?If I could get a degree is song lyrics I'd have had a Ph.D a long time ago.I once got 35 pages into writing my autobiography when I realized I was just typing the lyrics to Licensed to Ill over and over.I get a rush of pride when my password is deemed “Very Secure”I put my pants on just like everybody else, begrudgingly. One of the main problems with online dating is the fear that one day I will be part of a Dateline segment.I think the copyrights to the slogan “Just Do It” I do not now, nor have I ever, owned a stick with glitter water on my key chain. If the main ingredient in Saffron Tea was the tears of Burmese Child Laborers I'd still drink it.Far too often I use “the” before nouns in my sentences. And, people laugh... although my intent isn't to be funny. OK on a serious note, my friend said I need to say what I am looking for in someone. I can see how this might be helpful but seems a bit “demandy” doesn't it? In my perfect world with my perfect man (keeping the pressure at rock bottom, I know, I know) He would be faithful & honest. I get that people's eyes and minds stray but really that is all that should, don't 'cha agree? He would be smart and I would learn cool sh*t just by listening to him talking everyday talk, but he wouldn't make me feel stupid because I didn't already know it. Because there is a lot I don't know and I don't think I could handle it being pointed out all the time.He would read to me or read with me. Perhaps even the novel he is working on. He can make me laugh even when I'm mad. He laughs with me and maybe even at me, sometimes. How did I do? FYI - the men in my photographs are not boyfriends, they are family members. Would be weird if I had my ex's photos on a dating web site wouldn't it?

I love to go out of town...the mountains are my favorite. A nice cabin for a few days. I have never had children and am probably now too old to have any of my own but would love to find a nice man that has children that I could someday be a grandma to their babies. I would be a great spoiling grandma. I love God and believe without him you are lost. I work hard and play hard. I love life and having fun. I love to laugh and love someone with great sense of humor. I am not model skinny..I am a real gal that likes my momma's cooking. I have curves and will always have curves. If you prefer a life without curves please save us both the time. Curves does not mean fat it means boobs and a fanny and someone nice to snuggle up to. I like black sabbath, black label society, classic rock, classic heavy metal, not country really and absolutely no rap. ok ...feel the need to update my profile based on my craptastic results on here so far. If you think you are going to become a rockstar and you are in your 50's please pass me by.....if you say you have a car but it doesn't run please pass me by.....if your profession is working at life please pass me by.....if you say you want a relationship and all you really want is RELATIONS please pass me by. I am a very sexual being and love to be loved but...that WILL NOT come before you getting to know me. WE are not gonna chat and jump in the sack...sorry. Hopefully this has made a few of you more shallow souls decide against saying hi.....come on fellas....I'm looking for something real and someone real....stop yanking my chain...I can get that anywhere if I want it. I don't know...I love surprises. I'm pretty practical but do love for you to have an imagination! I like a creative man.

Well, I enjoy traveling. Of course that's not everything but you get the jist of it.I live up to my horoscope sign's characteristics; I love adventure and I am a hopeless dreamer.I have two children at home still but that doesn't slow me down. They are older so it isn't difficult for me to find time for someone else.My career can be demanding. I do pretty good at balancing my personal life and my professional life. Musically...if you were to look at my music player you would think 'who is this person?' I like country, rock, 50's & 60's, some hip hop/rap, and pretty much anything that strikes my fancy at the time. I grew up in the 80's and basically suffered through the music of that decade, though. My best friend recently described my personality to me. She said I am outgoing, personable, and full of humor. I think what she meant to say when she said outgoing was outspoken. lol First dates are easy. The more casual they are the better. Anything is a good date. A laundromat at night with cold take out pizza is as good as a candlelit dinner for two. It's always about the person you spend your time with, not where you are or what you do.
