I'm looking for a guy to be friends and maybe more. I have 2 grown sons that are my life. I work full time. I like all kinds of music, country and classic rock are my favorites. I really hate writing these things, I never know what to say. :)

I'll preface this by saying I'm crazy busy at work right now, and may not have time to respond to messages or to develop the type of relationship I eventually want, so I'm changing my goal here to "wants to date, but nothing serious." I'm not looking to jump into a relationship just to be in one. I'm ok being alone. I do hope to find someone to spend some time with, have a few laughs together, and hopefully someday I'll find true love. When I love, I love for good. I'm as loyal as an old hound dog, and just as stubborn. I miss having someone to share my day with. I miss having someone who I just can’t wait to tell that bit of good news to…and someone to comfort me when the news isn’t so good. I want to know that the guy I’m crazy about is mine and mine alone because I don’t like to share. I can go a long time on just the very minimum of affection - but I don't want to do that anymore. I want someone who makes me feel that I'm important to him. That being said, I'm going to be picky this go-round. Being alone isn't a bad thing, and I'm not desperate for a man. I used to respond to every message, but I'm not doing that anymore. If you message me and I don't respond, I'll thank you now for your interest, but I won't waste your time or mine by messaging back and forth. I’m not perfect. I wear my heart on my sleeve. I’m a bad housekeeper. I don’t organize my time well. I’m a bit of a homebody, though I’d love to get out more. I take a while to warm up to new people (guys, especially), but once I get to know you, I'm awful at playing hard to get. But, even though I have my faults, I'm still pretty darn great. Please have your sh*t together. By that, I mean, have reliable means of supporting yourself, be completely over any exes, take care of your kids if you have them, know how to use spell-check and punctuate a complete sentence, and be willing to consider a long term relationship with the right person. I have all of those qualities and more. We'll figure something out together.

If something more happens than that might be cool as well. Translation: I am not looking to hook up and have meaningless sex. I know I could write about how laid back I am, that I have no drama in my life, or any issues whatsoever but that would be complete BS. Every person on the earth has some drama and some issues. It's how we deal with these things that makes us who we are. I like to think that I deal with everything perfectly but I know I don't. And I really am kind of laid back, most of the time, but not all of the time.I try to live my life with a positive vibe and glass half full mentality but to be honest it is a journey. It is something that I work at on a daily basis.I am a shy person. Sometimes painfully so. But once I feel comfortable around someone it can be hard to shut me up. I feel awkward in social settings where there are large groups of people that I don't know.I am more comfortable in jeans and casual attire. Although I am not opposed to trying new things.Hiking and backpacking are major hobbies of mine so it would great to find someone to do these things with.I workout several times a week, mainly doing Crossfit but I mix it up with some running and kickboxing occasionally.I love the mountains.I love playing mini-golf. My goal is complete all the courses in PF/GatlingburgI think Diet Dr Pepper should be a food group.I love love love Mexican food.I love cats but am allergic.I love dogs.I love almost any animals but not so much when it comes to spiders and reptiles.I like kids.I have lived in almost every southern state. Classic rock is my choice of music.I maintain 2 blogs. One for my hiking and one for random life stuff.Things I am looking for...Someone who is confident but not an ****. I tend to like someone who takes charge.Someone who wants to have fun and do adventurous things. Hopefully someone that can stand my sometime sarcastic sense of humor.Someone who is trying to better their life in some way or fashion.Pet Peeves:Smoking. I just don't want to be around it.Self taken cell phone pics. If all your pics are taken by yourself with your cell phone it makes me think you don't have any friends to take a simple pic of you.Horrible spelling. A few words are ok. But if every other word is misspelled then it's a problem. And typing a profile and not spelling out words. Really, how hard is it to type out "you" *** "u"If my peeves make seem like a b*tch then oh well. Hmmmm....seeing as I can be really shy and nervous until I get to know people I think a first date should be more interactive, maybe mini-golf, bowling or something like that. I don't want to be all self conscious sitting across the table from someone who is starting at me and I am wondering if I have food caught in my teeth or something.
