I'm a bit old fashioned and I hope to find someone to form a friendship with first, and then build on that. I’m not looking to jump into a physical relationship right away. I am a very affectionate person and enjoy being in the company of friends and family. I am a caring, friendly, spontaneous, honest and romantic person. I enjoy going out spending time with friends, but also like to spend a quiet night at home. I am just as comfortable in a dress & heels as I am in boots, jeans and flannel shirt. I don’t go work-out every chance I get, but I'm not a couch potato either. I don't have the athletic abilities that I would like, but I enjoy getting out for a walk, or a hike. I love listening to music, mostly country, but I enjoy many genres. As shallow as it is to put this in, unfortunately it’s human nature, but appearance is important for that initial attraction. After that it’s all about feeling that connection. I’m pretty open minded about what I find attractive in a man. The first thing I usually notice is eyes, and smile/teeth. If you take good care of your teeth, you probably take care of yourself. You should be healthy, but don’t obsess about working out. I believe that chivalry should not be a thing of the past, it’s just good manners. Yes I can open the door myself, but it’s nice when a man opens it for me. I believe that honesty is extremely important in a relationship, without it the relationship has no future. You must be drug and disease free and a non-smoker.My kids and grand kids are a big part of my life, they kept me going during my divorce and I spend as much time with them as I can. I think a first date depends on what our common interests are, but something that allows us to talk to get to know eachother.
