About Me

I am a confident, independent, adventurous lady who works hard and plays harder; looking for a man that can appreciate that...and keep up! I have a great life to share with the right guy. I took a break from serious dating to focus on raising an incredible daughter. Now that she is in college and on her own, I have the time needed to put into a great relationship. During that time, I became a much stronger person and have figured out what qualities are important to me while creating balance in my life. I am looking for a man who shares similar values, is trustworthy and trusting, takes care of himself physically and well as emotionally, works hard, is truly over whomever may have wronged him (we all have a past...let it go!) and isn't smothering, yet is able to be affectionate. Chemistry is very important to me, but it's only part of what I look for. You never know who you may click with! Please don't shy away from the fact that I currently live "up north". Besides, sometimes it's nice to take a drive in the beautiful country, which just happens to be where I reside. I have alot of hobbies but also look forward to learning things that my partner is interested in. Travel is one of my passions! A partner that likes to take a vacation and an occasional day or weekend trip would be a plus. Must love dogs...or at least be willing to tolerate two smaller ones. My love of photography also makes the camera come out quite often so don't be afraid to smile:) I just started golfing and it isn't too pretty so if you can teach me to golf better, that would be great! I've noticed that about 95% of men on dating sites mention motorcycles and fishing as their favorite hobbies. What's up with that? LOL! Unfortunately, I'm not really into either thing. I've tried them both and although they are ok, I honestly don't care to do either more than once or twice a year. If that's your passion, sorry but keep going. Please don't respond if you smoke, are a heavy drinker, live more than a couple hours away, are separated or any version of "technically still married", are looking for a one-nighter, or are just want someone to raise your young children. I love kids and would enjoy dating someone with them but don't want to raise more little ones. No offense, but there is no sense in wasting my time or yours. There are so many great things to do on a first date. As long as there is some chemistry and spontaneity, it can go well. Generally, coffee, dinner or drinks is a low-key first date that gives two people time to talk but doing something adventurous or new together is always fun! Wine tasting anyone?! Relax, be creative and see what happens!Let's face it, if everyone was taking long walks or enjoying all the candlelit dinners that they talk about in their profiles, the beaches, parks and restaurants would be packed! Besides, a long walk with a stranger doesn't sound like the safest thing, and that expensive dinner could really be a waste of money if there's no chemistry:)
