I thought this site might be a good way to meet some new people, maybe make some new friends or something more! I'm not looking to jump head-first into something serious, rather to start off casual and if it's there then it will progress naturally. Some of the more important characteristics I am looking for are honesty, a good moral compass and family values, sense of humor (mine can be dry/sarcastic but I can take it as well as I dish it out!), intelligence, and the ability to just have a good time!!! Physical attraction is important as well, but that doesn't mean looking like a model...and I'm more interested in what your profile says than your shirtless self-photos taken in the mirror anyway! But please be taller than me...it's the only physical characteristic I require. I am not interested in anyone who is playing games or brings drama with them...I've done my time with that! (FYI...kids do NOT equal drama, I have no problems with meeting someone who is a dad!) I like sports (Mets/Jets fan...keep your negative comments to yourself!...LOL!), love going to baseball games, going to the track to watch horse racing, playing poker, skiing, fishing, dining out, drinks at a bar (no clubs!), road trips to anywhere, or just staying in & watching a movie, playing a board game or cards, enjoying a home cooked meal and a bottle of wine, just spending time with a quality someone. It's more about who you're with than what you do that determines if it can be a good time. I'll try just about anything once so if you have other interests that are important to you I'd be willing to give them a try! My family & friends are a very important part of my life...too many people I know lose touch with their friends when they enter a new relationship, but mine will be a part of my life forever...and maybe you'll get to meet them one day! Something out of the ordinary and fun, where the opportunity to talk is there but short enough that if there isn't a mutual interest we're not stuck with each other for hours...and if it's going well we can always find something else to do!

I am not really sure what to write, not really sure how many guys actually read the profile or just flash through the pictures. I am a mother of twin boys who are now 20 and don't have a whole lot of time for mommy anymore. I have spent the past three years really trying to find my "single self" if that makes sense. I was married for FOREVER lol well 18 years which is my entire adult life. I have learned a lot being single, like wow has dating changed!!!! I must admit I have been shocked by some of the crude advances! I am still the girl who has morals and values, and I hope to find a man whom does equally. I believe in chivalry, sincerity, honesty... I know I am asking a lot but I promise to treat you with absolute kindness and respect so long as I receive the same. Plus litter boxes are yucky!! lol I have small dogs, and yes they are spoiled, they are Shih Tzu's and I love them like my kids. I enjoy rock and today's country, along with some other genre's, not a rap or classical fan, sorry, and Eminem does not qualify as rap, I love him! I enjoy going to the desert, camping, river, for my away stuff, haven't done a lot of traveling however I would love to with that special someone someday. I love sushi, and dueling piano bars, concerts and hanging with friends around a BBQ. I am always up for a fun time, I can make friends anywhere I go, and have a true desire to live my life to the fullest, we only live once right? I am pretty easy going, I smile more than anything, and I don't do crazy, so if you want a crazy chick who goes off on you every time you turn around... sorry I am not her. I couldn't come up with a headline for a dating website... This is one I've seen and I use it for me. I'm not an adrenaline junkie, but I try to keep pushing myself forward. Please be down to earth. Please be able to laugh, even at yourself. I'm a bit self-deprecating so... Some of the best jokes are at the expense of me or one of my friends. I can not live without music or books. I have loads of CDs and the vinyl I managed to salvage from my mother's house... The bag I carry with me tends to weigh a ton because of the books I always have tucked away in it... I don't know the first thing about a nook, etc.. I need to be able to turn the pages as I read...I like going out to eat or a concert or whatever, but I really, really like being able to be comfortable with someone hanging at home too. A night of a movie on the couch is great. Naps are good too. Silence that is comfortable... That can be a big thing.I get focused on things and want to learn about them (muscle cars), but I guess most people are like that? I'm dying of jealousy because one of my closest friends is about to buy a ***Studebaker Hawk... I love the color red (obviously), I'm kind of particular about my coffee, I have a notebook that I write down quotes I come across and love, I ran around like a maniac tomboy as a kid and have fallen out of more trees than I can count, I tend to stick pens in my hair and then wander around the rest of the day wondering what I've done with them all, I never get tired of the sound of the ocean, I like learning to do things for myself (apartment stuff, car stuff, etc.), it makes me feel constructive to be covered in mud, etc. after a day of physical labor....I completed a Bachelor's in Philosophy before going back to school for sciences and Veterinary Medicine (completed in Europe). Also took literature courses when I could fit them in. I'm born and bred in NYC. But now I'm definitely rambling... Drinking something? Coffee? Going somewhere that I can actually hear you speak?
