Just an everyday girl looking for someone to share experiences with...I am too young to be doomed to wander the planet alone forever...and too old to play games! I have worked in the nursing professional for ***years and love it as much today as when I first began..* Updated Mar****..a short term contract) * Updated July/13* - I have returned home to Calgary....and couldn't be happier to have done so!!! I am involved with EMS as a clinical skills lab *** I enjoy the experience of assisting those with their professional dreams. I am involved with Emerging Health Leaders and I am the proud Mother of 2...a 20 year old daughter and a 17 year old son, whom I love more than life itself and couldn't be more filled with pride!! I love to travel....I love reading, hunting, scouting, hiking and meeting with my friends. I love to be outdoors enjoying the world...on foot or horseback, walks and talks, movies, music, that perfect glass of red wine. Spending time with family and friends is very important to me as these are the relationships that see you through the best and worst of times.I'm just an average girl, I guess! I strive to limit "expectation" when meeting new people, as our own expectations are often projected onto others and in my experience... Live it...learn it!! Now I take each day as it comes..hoping for the best...generally happy to accept whatever comes my way...and ever willing to take that leap of faith!! We can never have too many friends, if "the" connection isn't there! So if any of this has made a shred of sense or sparked a crumb of interest, please free feel to make contact..if not...then I wish you well in your searches!!Life Experience Footnote * - Liars, self indulgent types, meglo-maniacs, con artists, narcissists, and otherwise low self- esteemers need NOT apply...with appreciation! Meeting for a nice coffee...or simple drink...having lunch...going for a walk...or meeting for a nice dinner...having a great chat. I'm not fussy...I don't complain...and I'm easy to please!

I couldn't come up with a headline for a dating website... This is one I've seen and I use it for me. I'm not an adrenaline junkie, but I try to keep pushing myself forward. Please be down to earth. Please be able to laugh, even at yourself. I'm a bit self-deprecating so... Some of the best jokes are at the expense of me or one of my friends. I can not live without music or books. I have loads of CDs and the vinyl I managed to salvage from my mother's house... The bag I carry with me tends to weigh a ton because of the books I always have tucked away in it... I don't know the first thing about a nook, etc.. I need to be able to turn the pages as I read...I like going out to eat or a concert or whatever, but I really, really like being able to be comfortable with someone hanging at home too. A night of a movie on the couch is great. Naps are good too. Silence that is comfortable... That can be a big thing.I get focused on things and want to learn about them (muscle cars), but I guess most people are like that? I'm dying of jealousy because one of my closest friends is about to buy a ***Studebaker Hawk... I love the color red (obviously), I'm kind of particular about my coffee, I have a notebook that I write down quotes I come across and love, I ran around like a maniac tomboy as a kid and have fallen out of more trees than I can count, I tend to stick pens in my hair and then wander around the rest of the day wondering what I've done with them all, I never get tired of the sound of the ocean, I like learning to do things for myself (apartment stuff, car stuff, etc.), it makes me feel constructive to be covered in mud, etc. after a day of physical labor....I completed a Bachelor's in Philosophy before going back to school for sciences and Veterinary Medicine (completed in Europe). Also took literature courses when I could fit them in. I'm born and bred in NYC. But now I'm definitely rambling... Drinking something? Coffee? Going somewhere that I can actually hear you speak?
