Hello there! I am new to online dating, and so feel very much like a fish out of water. I have a few friends who were successful using sites like this, so I thought I would give it a shot. So, here goes...I have two children, ***½ (the ½ is very important) and one 5. The three of us practice Taekwondo, and absolutely love it. I also train in Krav Maga (yes, I secretly pretend I am a ninja or a super spy). I am an outgoing, active, and competitive individual. I am pretty direct (not in a rude way) and transparent, though I have a sensitive side. You will never wonder what I am thinking or feeling. I am quick to smile and I love to laugh. So, a bit of bantering and witty comments goes a long way with me. I love to cook and eat just about any type of cuisine, and love to share it with others. I have been in sales for over 14 years, and it is absolutely my calling. I am focused on my career, however I realize it is just a job. I don’t play games, and I appreciate honesty, integrity, and transparency in others. I also very much appreciate chivalry (a little goes a long way) and people who are not afraid to openly show how they feel about someone (this goes for friends too). If you say you're going to do something I expect you will do it, and I hold myself to those same standards. I believe mutual respect, lots of communication, trust, and being faithful are key to a healthy and successful relationship. Also humor....laughter is really important, in fact I can't live without it. :-)My ex and I have an amicable relationship (no drama). The kids are number one priority for both of us, and so we focus on making sure they know that. My ideal man doesn't necessarily need to have children, but he must be good with kids. I am very involved in my kids' lives, so I would eventually want you to be involved in their lives too. Likewise, I would want to be involved in your children(s)' lives, and I would treat them with the same respect and kindness that I would expect mine to receive from you.I am looking for someone who will become my best friend, my lover, and everything in between. -football---my family and house are there. :) While plans could change--I was originally planning to be here for two years and I am starting my fifth--it seems disingenuous to claim that I want to get married next week when my future residency is unsure. So...I would love to date. Even exclusively. But don't be angry if I won't agree to live here forever on our second evening out.I am currently teaching reading at the college level and loving it. I am also working on an Ed.D degree, so I work hard to enjoy my free time! I enjoy sharing new adventures with others--my last escapade was firewalking. I love snorkeling, roller coasters and art galleries, live theatre and local bands, cooking for friends and visiting with family, sharing a new book, debating new ideas and anything that challenges me to expand my horizons. I feel most relaxed near the water and can enjoy an evening of silliness and dancing as easily as a great movie or stimulating debate. I am hoping to find a responsible AND fun-loving individual. You don't need to buy me a gourmet dinner, but you should be able to foot your part of the bill. You should be able/willing to start the weekend without plans and enjoy whatever eventuates. I enjoy debate and discussion--I speak my mind and expect others to do the same. I would love to meet someone who has a CLUE about major authors, artists, and intellectual ideas. (That sure sounds harsh, but I hope you know what I mean!) I feel most at peace near the ocean and would love to find someone who shares my affinity for the beach.If I am busy, it is not personal. I teach and study and tutor and have friends.
