I wish someone else could write this part for me because how on earth do you explain who you are in a paragraph? The basics... I have 2 grown children who live on their own. I have a really big, loveable dog and a ridiculous parrot. I have been single going on about 10 months now, after a long term relationship of almost 20 years. I consider myself to be an honest, open-minded and caring person...also pretty sarcastic :) Am very much a realist and tell it like it is (blunt, yet tactful). I love my friends and family and am fiercely loyal to them. Some things I love...thunderstorms, the smell of fresh cut grass, sleeping in on a Sunday morning and freshly fallen snow. I love to spend time with friends, sitting in the sun at a local winery, swimming, boating, rafting (anything really related to water), curling up on the couch and watching a good movie. I strongly dislike pretentious, judgmental people.I have no idea exactly "who" or "what" I'm looking for out there...I'll know it when I see it I guess. I'm not looking to just jump right into a serious relationship...the good ones take time to develop. I definitely want someone who is honest and doesn't play games (dishonesty is a trait I absolutely abhor!). Personality is key. I want someone who I can be myself with (let's face it...I'm 42 years old and nobody is going to be able to "change me" at this point...NOR am I looking to "change" somebody else.). Somebody who is easy to talk to...someone I just "click with" (you know...where you can talk for hours and it feels like only moments have passed you by). Someone who is interested in a strong friendship and if something more than a friendship were to develop then so be it :) If that person might be you, or if there is something I'm leaving out or something you are curious about, just message me. I swear...I don't bite :)I do try to be polite and answer all messages. Sometimes it's hard though because I don't get on here too often so please don't take offense if I don't get back to you right away. As far as dating goes...I guess there is always an awkward period in the beginning, but if you go in looking for a friendship, there isn't that pressure built up around meeting someone new. I believe you'll feel that connection fairly early as to whether or not that individual is someone you are interested in as more than a friend. And we go from there! At worst...maybe you make a new friend! :) I guess I would have to say meeting for a drink or perhaps lunch or dinner would be a good start. Even playing putt putt or shooting pool (some kind of activity is always fun!). I'm not into the club or bar "scene". Been there...done that...way back in my 20s...

I love to have fun out with friends or at home one on one. I've been out of the dating scene for a while but am looking forward to finding a comfortable match out there! I like adventure, travel, beaches, boating, cars, motorcycles, live music, drinks with friends and a lot more. I work hard and am self sufficient and looking for the same in a match! Take a chance and meet me...let's just have fun and see what happens... Ready
