A little about me - I tend to have an extremely irreverent sense of humor. I can generally find the humor in most situations, have no problem laughing at myself and I enjoy making others laugh. I miss Southern hospitality and manners but you can't beat the weather in So Cal. I clean up pretty well but prefer jeans. I'm more of a beer than wine girl and sometimes even run to the store with no make-up and my hair in a pony tail. That being said, I promise I won't humiliate you at a formal function. I'm generally up for anything - evening out or quiet night in. I love to cook and entertain. I enjoy running and take Tae Kwon Do -I recently qualified for my brown belt. LOVE music and can listen to anything but really enjoy country. I'm the mother of two and love being a mom so that will always be a top priority. I share custody with their dad so scheduling is what it is. :) I'm keeping an open mind in terms of what I'm looking for but if I were to try and put it into a brief description, it would just be acceptance - Someone who cares about me for who I am, despite my flaws, while inspiring me to be a better person; though hysterically funny, brilliantly intelligent and reasonably attractive wouldn't hurt either. My faith is important to me and I'd like to meet someone with a similar outlook and commitment. But based on the short time I've been on this site, I have to say that I'm not particularly drawn to the shirtless, in-the-bathroom pics. I would hate to think you want to be with someone who's only into your abs. Hopefully, by the time I see you shirtless, I'm so taken by your wit, intelligence and innate kindness that I'm not so worried about your six-pack. PS you must have at least one friend who will *** of you which would eliminate the need for the ever popular mirror-in-a-public-restroom shot. Worst case scenario, you don't want to admit to your friends that you need a pic for a dating site, pretend to be a tourist and get a random stranger to *** when you're out and about. One last tip - saying you're looking for a relationship in your profile but including multiple pictures with bikini-clad chicks draped over you while partying sends a slightly different message. I guess that's enough for now but if you think we might have something in common, then I hope to hear from you soon. Of course, I'm making the assumption that you actually read all this....there's no shame in admitting that most of us don't make it past the pictures. :)

People tell me I'm funny, and I'm definitely sarcastic. This side of me is more apparent the more I get to know someone. I am a jeans and t-shirt, low-maintenance kind of girl, but I have no problem dressing up for a night on the town. I listen to all types of music, it really depends on my mood at the moment. It is amazing how music can evoke a memory, or you can hear someone else's lyrics perfectly describing your own experiences and moods. I enjoy live music, grew up playing percussion, and would like to learn guitar. I'm the mother of two children, ages 9 and 13. They, of course, are my first priority, but I always make time for that special someone. My kids keep me pretty busy with sports and extracurriculars. I like sports, and I coach basketball. I also love to watch the Vikings. I like to be out on the water fishing, and yes, I can bait my own hook. I enjoy nature, camping, and going to the cabin. I think it is great to "unplug" for a few days. I like to cook and bake. I am the type of person who will bake you your favorite cookies just because. I like to do thoughtful things like that to put a smile on someone's face. I like new experiences, and I want to expose my children to different things, so I take them camping, to the theater, museums, sporting events, concerts, etc. It would be great to have another adult to enjoy these things with too. :) I am a self-proclaimed nerd. I read a lot (my bookshelves are overflowing), watch a lot of movies, know a bunch of random facts and trivia, can quote movies and TV shows, and use made-up words like floopy. I am a very open-minded, tolerant individual. I think everyone is entitled to their beliefs/opinions, as long as those beliefs do not infringe on the rights of anyone else. I don't mind if we don't agree about politics or religion, as long as you don't try to force your beliefs on me.What am I looking for? Communication, an open-mind, laughing til it hurts. Someone who is physically, emotionally, and intellectually compatible. Intelligent conversation. Someone who will challenge my mind. It may sound corny, but I recently heard the song "Smile" by Uncle Kracker on the radio, and I thought--that's what I want. And that's what I want to be for somebody. Low-key dinner or drinks where we can talk and get to know each other. Something entertaining or engaging, such as live music, a sporting event, mini-golf, the zoo, etc. I think it really depends on the person I am with. Hopefully we know enough about each other so we can come up with a fun, mutually agreed-upon activity. Although, I do like surprises! :)
