Whether repairing an engine or writing a novel, all are just sequences of steps; all that matters are quality and enjoyment. Whatever one person's dreams may be, all of our dreams are the same. The shape changes but not the form; it is the dream itself that is important and the hope of what can be. If you can impress me with your words, you're golden—no pressure. I'm actually pretty easy-going, and I promise not to grade your grammar as you speak. =}I am looking for the right person, not just any person. Intelligence, education, someone who reads—humor, individuality, creativity, someone who has contemplated all the nuances of their experiences and used that knowledge to grow. Perhaps someone who has been through a lot and got through it okay. I am a part of the modern counter-culture. Unfortunately, old-school gothic English professors are a rarity, and I don't meet a lot of people into the things I enjoy who are also highly successful and together. I am quite versatile as well and have done a lot in my life. I was born on a fishing boat, to an Italian commercial fisherman, rebelled against those old-world values only to re-embrace many of them as I have grown older. I put myself through school; I have worked hard my entire life, and because of that, I am grounded. I am also loyal, sophisticated yet street-smart, complex yet funny. I am a huge fan of duality and balance. I am also a lover of nature and find deep spiritual connection in natural environments as well as in high culture. I am a refined, free-thinker and political. I am a world traveler; I strive for excellence in my own life and focus my attention on positive energy. Writers, thinkers, artistic people, individuals with strong character are all highly desirable. Loyalty, respectfulness, integrity, a person who questions/thinks are a must. Someone who is genuine and who knows themselves and what they want! A good listener/conversationalist is also required. Being an English teacher means that my partner must be able to stimulate my mind. Inner-strength, passion, romance--I miss kissing. Someone deep, may be even a bit dark, but has their life together and is good to people. Being able to intelligibly express feelings (which seems to be difficult for some) and being unique themselves is also important to me. Oh, and you must love cats. =}Lately I have gained an interest in science and cognitive ability/brain function when it comes to learning. I had removed myself from the grid and was living in the high desert, but am now back by the ocean. In this time, I have gained an in-depth appreciation for nature, clean living and clean food, magnetism, metaphysics; I would love to learn actual physics. One day I want to go back to school for my PhD. Wine-tasting, a museum, park picnic (I cook). Some place to focus on one another and talk while enjoying one of those finer things.
