I am genuine, firecrackin', and to the point. I love a beer before dinner or after a run; overpriced coffee every morning; opening a new book only to close it after CH3 for 3 mos and reopen it when work slows down; and actually missing the time I spent trimming bamboo at my last apt (do you know how fast bamboo grows ??)I like smart men who enjoy healthy debate/competition and are a bit more aggressive than me... Of course someone with a great sense of humor is always good and I could really use someone who knows or wants to learn how to chill out more and enjoy the obvious. The need and desire to work in DC has trumped creative exploration as a priority for too long!Footnote: I don’t put much weight on virtual chemistry and would much rather meet in person after some short obligatory discourse I like to keep first dates simple. Or sushi and hoookah? Wine and cheese tasting? Catching a Caps game in a local sports bar?

I'm a New Englander through and through. I’ve been in DC since I was 26.After many years working for others - I started my own business 2 years ago. ‘Interior designer’ may conjure images of Million Dollar Decorator, Flipping Out or Designing Women…but my life and work are nothing like these! The reality of an interior designer is a lot less glamorous. There is a lot of grunt work – all the things you don’t see on TV. But the pay-off is pretty awesome. That moment when you see a space and it’s just so pretty – and you made someone so happy to live in that room – that’s a great moment. It's a fun way to lead a creative life and make a living. In a lot of ways, I don’t fit in to the DC scene. I really don’t have any interest in politics, policy or the government. But I still somehow feel like I am in the right place…like this is where I am supposed to be right now. What the reason is – I don’t know yet.I tend to be attracted to men who are witty & down-to-earth, maybe even a little bit dorky, with a preference for funny, curvy redheads!
