I want to start off by saying I am not interested in "hooking up." I also am not interested if you're "separated." That's still married people! If you don't have a picture, I'm not going to reply. It suggests to me that you may be hiding something. And lastly if you send me a message that looks like my 12 year old typed it, we probably won't have a lot in common. I'm not hard to get along with but I get impatient sometimes. I'm putting the worst out there first. Now, on to me (ha!)...I'm basically interested in meeting people. I don't go out to bars or clubs, so it's pretty hard to meet your "soulmate" in the pickle section at Stop and Shop. I don't like dishonesty. So if you feel the need to embellish things to make yourself sound more appealing, please move on to the next profile. I have a 13 year old daughter who lives with me full time, and who's pushing me out the door to "get back out there." Thanks for checking me out and I look forward to chatting with...?One last thing. More of a request. If you aren't interested in me after speaking with me, whether in *** on the phone, or even in person, please simply say so. I will tell you if I'm not interested as well, so you're not left wondering. Thank you.

When I was a kid breakfast was usually puffed wheat. Growing up in a household of six, puffed wheat was purchased in bulk. On shopping day my Mom would have to bungee-cord the bags of puffed wheat that were as big as beanbag chairs to the top of the old Volkswagon Beetle and then drive home carefully.… occasionally we could talk my Mom into buying the little sample variety packs of cereal and there was nothing better than those days when we could get up early on a Saturday morning, watch cartoons together and open up all the little boxes of cereal (you were supposed to be able to cut them open and use them as a bowl… but that never worked out well.) We’d have six types of cereal all mixed together…I'm essentially happy with the balance of life. I have family, good friends, stay healthy, practice a regular fitness routine and have assorted hobbies and enough time off for whatever adventure or project I feel like tackling. I feel fortunate to have a job that I really enjoy, and I feel generally lucky in life. I'm looking for someone interested in dating with the goal of developing a long term relationship... Staying curious, and learning more, creativity, health, fitness and living a balanced life with a balanced cheque book are important to me. I’m generally an at-home piscivore, occasional social-carnivore. Regarding drink, I can't say that I drink socially, or that I don't drink at all.-two alcoholic drinks a month.I hope to find a conversant partner who also believes that physical attraction is important, but mental stimulation, consideration, kindness, responsibility and thoughtfulness are also essential components of enduring mutual attraction. I feel it is as important to give back and volunteer in the community as it is to have time to do one’s own thing and to try new things. I prefer to figure things out and fix things rather than to throw them out. What are you doing this week? Would we ever run into each other and talk? This weekend I'll be at a farmers market, a youth theatre production, having tea with a friend to talk about her science-based art project, cooking food (fresh from the farmers market,) fitting in a workout and a swim at the beach or two, perhaps a few chores, and going to a family gathering. I'll be catching up on some reading in the evenings to wind down. Things that might make you run away: I’ll be wearing braces for about another ***months, and that makes me feel pretty amusingly-awkward at times, especially for first meetings... also: I have some pretty geeky hobbies. I’m not a minimalist. I enjoy dressing up for the occasional creative public event. I think gummy candies are a fun postmodern treat. My flaws include: indulging in puns and sarcasm, not being perfect, too many freckles, and treating my little car like it’s a wheelbarrow as I'm often getting things for the garden. For me the point of being on this dating site is to meet people who, like me, are comfortable in their own sense of character, and to try to find that elusive connection with someone... and actually meeting in person to see if there is that common ground and spark. So, if you’re genuine and intrigued, and think that you might be ‘my cup of tea’ and I might be yours, then please send me a message. First meeting: casual.Coffee, tea, or meet at a farmers' market ...
