I have decided to rewrite my profile information based on failed attempts with some of the people that I have met on this site. I am looking for a man that isn't afraid of commitment. Someone that understands that in order to gain love and respect, one must give it in return. It's really unfortunate that people choose to mislead and speak false prophecies to others just to get a foot in the door. I try and be as specific as possible in my profile to avoid being contacted by people that simply do not fit what I am looking for in a match, so I will be sure to be as specific as possible. I am an independent, proud mother of 2 boys, both of which I am very proud of. I play a very active role in their lives because I brought them into this world. My job is to provide and take care of them and do so with a kind, loving and giving heart. My hope is that the man that would chose to respond to my profile, would want to take an active role in their lives as well. I am looking for someone that wants to be involved, not only in my life, but theirs as well. I am self sufficient and can provide all that we need, however, I am looking for someone to share my life with. I also feel the need to state that my children are bi-racial. This may not be important to most, but some may have a problem with it. If so, please keep moving-I do not see color and I do not discriminate-I date men that love me and care for me, regardless of the color of their skin! It gets lonely, just keeping it real-I want a best friend, someone that wants the same. I believe in romance, holding hands in public, and kisses that say a thousand words without saying a word at all. I realize that many men are out there looking for someone to spend time with, but with no intention of commitment-I am NOT the one for you! Please do not waste my time if you are wanting to date around and play the field. I have faith in God and I believe that one day I will find the man of my dreams-I hope, however, that he finds me first.I am a huge sports fan-love love love FOOTBALL!! I also enjoy basketball as well. I love to have fun: this can be accomplished in many ways-nights at home hanging out, or even going out dancing-I just love to enjoy life with the ones I am with! First dates are important because it's the first impression. Conversation is very important so somewhere that feels natural and normal. If the chemistry is there, then the next date could be left up to us to decide.

I'm a fairly intense woman. Open. Real. I love dirt. I mean soil. Very independent but cozy. I'm alot to keep up with, but not high-maintenance, more like high-investment, energetically that is. I verge on workaholism, but moreso because I live my work, which is Life. I grow food, as much to build community as to build meals. The revolution is on, I'm on nature's side. Vegetarian mostly, of course, but pescatarian lately. I have always been a painter, of images, houses, and public spaces, and am extremely spiritual, in terms of trees.I am a first-timer with this, have not really dated alot, have mostly been in involved situations.I am looking for a MAN. who isn't taking life for granted. who is up for it. I am fairly complete as a creature, but then there is sex, of which I am extremely fond, but just can' t seem to choke down the junk food of casual or (Ghasp!) anonymous sex. Alas, internet dating, heh? Well, I'm not really all that fond of alcohol on the regular, enjoy a bit, but my time in bars is pretty limited. But on a rainy Sunday-My life is really full, bursting even, but there is just that one space... What I think a first date should be like, then? A brief encounter, an introduction with glimpses, responses, an energy collision only takes moments. So, coffee, or one drink, perhaps moving through some space together, a walk at India Point, or downtown... a meeting before a date.I think of date time as play time, so no plans, really, flow, play, see what's left of the day.
