About Me

This part sucks, but I will attempt to describe myself the best I can.I enjoy family and friends and spend all my free time with one or the other. I am not an outdoorsman, I'm afraid of creepy crawlies, but will try new things and do so with a smile. I enjoy books and learning and have dedicated the last several years of my life to obtaining a degree in English and will begin earning my Master's degree this year. What that means for anyone who may want to get to know me is: I won't pretend I'm stupid, I enjoy intelligent conversation, and I have goals in life which I am determined to meet. I have children who are my main priority. I sacrifice a lot to be a good mother to them and don't plan on changing that now. Which doesn't mean I don't have time for anything or anyone else, it just means I'm a mom. I still go out and have fun, travel, and meet people. However, I keep my children and my dating life separate, which means I don't bring men around my kids until I feel it is the right thing to do. If you are still reading this, you probably think I am a complete b*tch. I'm not. I am independent and direct, but I am also kind and loving, really I am. I love people, all people. It isn't my job to judge so I try not to and it is important to me that I spend my time with kind and accepting people. Life is full of cruelty and harshness, I try to live my life in a way that doesn't add to that.I am hoping to meet new people on here, and maybe, just maybe find someone I can have a relationship with...eventually. Is this supposed to be an ideal first date? Or just what I WOULD do? I would like to spend time getting to know someone a little on a first date I'm sure that could be done by bungee jumping or mime classes. Seriously, I prefer to do something where we can talk and get to know one another.

    Well first and most important are my 3 children....21, 12, and 7. The 2 younger live with me..( I have custody; they have their own father; and I have them about 60% of the time )...and my oldest is attending college on a full scholarship:) I am 3 years divorced now from an 12 year marriage.     Helloooo!! I'm a single mom of 2 teen-monsters. I work and am in school. I am considering taking the next step into getting into the nursing field. Not sure yet if I want to do that. As far as hobbies, I don't have any to speak of as most of my time is given to kids, work and school. Maybe someday I can find one. I am a strong woman in most aspects of my life, but that doesn't mean I always want to be the strong one...if that makes sense.
