I have been at this dating thing a while and have yet to find what I know is what I deserve in a partner which is a simple list of basic qualities in my opinion. Someone who is supportive, loving, fair and genuine to start. Affectionate and trusting, confidant and sweet. Someone who likes kids and knows how to spend a day together as a unit having free spirited fun. A person who is open minded and understanding recognizing that sometimes life just happens and as hard as one person tries it just isn't possible for life to happen always as planned. I am a very open minded and realistic person who has a good amount of common sense, I am far from perfect and already know your are not as well, whoever "you" may be. I have had my fair share of heart ache but try to look at those parts of my past as an education of sorts and the things that I have made mistakes at I try always to at best take a lesson and learn from those mistakes. We are human after all and every one makes them. Life is a roller coaster of so many different things and I want someone who is along for the ride no matter what the ride may be. I give a lot to my partner and I can only hold out hope that I find someone who is like minded and feels the same towards me. I simply want a man who will love me, respect me and tell me the truth no matter what the truth may be. If deceit is something you practice I want no part of it. I don't expect to be spoiled only recognized. A princess life is earned not just given but the street goes both ways and you only get what you give. I don't want a man that can't be outspoken or bottles everything up. I want someone that can communicate, laugh, cry, be honest and have fun. I love to laugh and I live to smile. I want to wake up and fall asleep next to the same wonderful person for many years to come. I am not up for long periods of time waiting anxiously to know what the other wants but am in no hurry to jump both feet. I think if you leave a person questioning what they mean to you then thats when people get uneasy and it causes hurt and conflict. Be upfront and honest, its what is best and fair.I love family fun and nights out with the girls. I would like to have regular date nights and am up for almost anything. I have a busy life but am willing to make the time and effort for the right person. I want to make memories and build a future. I love to BBQ in the summer, lay by the lake, go for walks, play cards and lots more. I love lazy sundays and indulging in some retail therapy here and there is always nice.I have a extreme love of sarcasm and am very rarely serious, that being said someone with a good sense of humour is important. I poke a few jokes here and there playfully and am a very good sport at being the target of a little teasing myself. I will say and do things that will make you want to and I am really ok with that. Talking about myself to nobody in particular isn't particularly fun, so here's an idea of some things I like. Maybe we have some stuff in common..-Books: Hunger Games series, Animal Farm, the Scary Stories series from when I was a kid, anything by Richard Laymon... trying to venture out more with reading, but I get bored easily.-Movies: anything scary, funny, cheesy, badass, or a combination of those things. Horrors and superheroes are my top favorites though! Anything with zombies or Captain America, Batman, etc.. I have lots of favorites; I have trouble choosing.-. I don't watch anything regularly throughout a season, but if I happen to catch these shows on I watch them.-Music: rockabilly, oldies, ska, alternative.. I can listen to just about anything except for techno, rap, and hip-hoppy type stuff.-Food: cheeseburgers, pizza, hot wings, etc., Mexican, Chinese, Italian... in some ways i'm like a man... Open to anything as long as we can talk and get to know each other.. Easiest way to do this I find, is over a couple of drinks. Movies are not good first dates, and really "sit-down" dinners aren't either.. I'd rather have pizza and a couple drinks with you at a bar or something. Less pressure. I'm not picky though, that's just a suggestion!On that note though, I know a lot of guys on here say they aren't smokers, but then they will smoke when they drink. I don't trust this "Meet Me" feature so if you want to talk to me you'll have to message me. Just like everyone else I am no good at talking about myself but here goes... I am a pretty easy going, fun person. I avoid drama and conflict at all costs. I'm perfectly content being single, thus, I will hold out until I find someone worth fighting for. If you're not ready to make a relationship a priority in your life then we're just in two different places. I sing at the top of my lungs whenever I'm alone. I'm allergic to chocolate. I wear flip flops every day that I possibly can. Cuddling up on the couch & reading a book is a perfectly fine way to spend a Friday night in my opinion. When I'm out at the bar with friends 99% of the time I'm the sober cab. I blush easily & often. I've been getting the "why are you single?" question a lot lately... Because I'm willing to wait until its right. Simple as that. But I must say I am sick to death of being the third, fifth, seven (etc) wheel when out with friends. I'd love to go on double dates & such. Plus it would be nice to not be left out when everyone goes to "couple" events. What am I attracted to? Men, first and foremost. 5'***. Bigger builds preferably. Think linebacker. Not saying that's my only type though. I'm not a tiny Barbie doll myself so Id say I'm attracted to my body type in a guy. Little on the large side floats my boat. As far as work goes, I started my own business about 3 years ago and I'm loving every minute of it. It takes up a lot of my time during the summer months but that means I get to enjoy my favorite months more. In other words, I'm a winter person. I feel like the first date is the "lets see if Im actually attracted to you" date because lets be honest, we may sound great on paper but we may not like each other in person. If there is chemistry then let the second date be a big thing. Even then I absolutely would not expect anyone to spend a ton of money on me so we could go throw rocks down by the river or take our dogs to the lake. Maybe go grill at the drive in or catch a comedy show downtown. I'd rather get to know you than have you try to impress me with your wallet. And honestly when a guy does try to impress me with his wallet it has the opposite effect.
