I have a rescue dog I care about very much so. I have been involved in several charities and enjoyed helping when I could. I have been bitten by the car bug but it will always take a backseat to any woman I wind up in a relationship with. Anyway I am Ed, I'm a good man thats honest, faithful, hard working, loving, affectionate, and people that know me consider me intelligent but a horrible texter and typer. Can we be honest on here? I think most people are not,I would like meet a person before going on a date so meeting for a few beers is more my style. However, first dates can be a little bit nerve racking so a nice calming lunch or dinner with some good conversation to get to know each other a little better seems to work good for some situations. I also like to do spontaneous dates like hey I feel like going to the beach today wanna take a walk on the boardwalk? or to be a little different to do anything with the woman I meet that I see something special in and see a possibility of a future with. If we can both laugh, have a deep conversation and still be relaxed and comfortable I think that's all I need to give a relationship a try. I wont take a woman out to an expensive place for a first date when I dont even know what her intent is, I'm not cheap but I am not foolish either.

But if we really "click" and you rip my clothes off, I don't think I'd object too much. I want to find a beautiful woman, obviously, but more important, I want someone I can enjoy intellectual conversations with. I fully know the difference between book and streets smarts. So I won't immediately pass on you if you don't hold several Ph.D.'s. But I swear I've seen some profiles where under "Education" the woman put "N/A". That is really saying something.When we connect via a message on here, let's talk sooner than later. And if we feel comfortable talking, let's plan a date. I am not looking for another text buddy!Finally, if you do agree to meet, and we have a wonderful time together, expect to be swept off your feet! I was raised a true Southern gentleman and I know how to treat a lady with equal parts admiration and respect. Usually meet for either drinks or dinner, just to see one another, talk, get a feel for each other. If that all goes well, then the sky is the limit. And I'm not kidding ... I've been skydiving several times and would love to find someone to go with again! But seriously, after our initial contact, if we agree to go out again, I think a picnic would be perfect.
