New to this and looking for a serious relationship. I'm independent and self-reliant, but want to share my life with someone special.Recently separated from the military and now run my own business and farm on the side. I grew up on a farm and took the opportunity to travel and "get away" from here, but after seeing the rest of the country and other parts of the world--I am certain that small- I still love to travel and will certainly take every opportunity to visit new places, but am always happy to return home to honest-and-hard- I am a dog lover, but don't have one of my own anymore. I am family-oriented and goal-oriented. Looking for someone that enjoys life, wants to go out and live life—not just sit in front of a TV. I enjoy learning new things and problem solving. I would like to find someone that appreciates a good challenge. Challenges are fun, drama is not. Education is very important to me—not that I am only interested in college graduates. I'm just extremely turned off by anyone who prides themselves in being an "airhead" or thinks that they are incapable of understanding the basics of something. Of course, few of us are geniuses--I am definitely NOT one! I'm just annoyed when people don't want to try. So that sounds a bit harsh, but it’s a truth about me.     Ok, me, where to begin. I'm a civil engineer with an emphasis on geotech engineer, or in layman, I like to play in the dirt. Unfortunately this means I spend a lot of time out of town on projects. Over the last couple years, I've spent nearly a year living out of hotels, fun times everyday, please note this last bit was sarcasm.As far as hobbies go, I enjoy martial arts and I've got a first degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do. Again due to my job, I've had to stop taking classes but once I get a more stable work schedule set up I intend to go back to them. Languages are also an interest of mine. I intend to learn at least one other language. Part of this interest goes back to when I was younger and had a speech impediment and had trouble speaking english.Small animals are one of my weaknesses. At one point I had three cats when I initially only wanted one but couldn't say no when people offered me another kitten. I've also got a black pug who I miss since he's living at my parent's house until I get home from the project I'm on.Finally, while I do list myself as a smoker, I smoke cigars, so I'm not chain smoking three or four packs a day, but occasionally I do like to have a cigar.Well I think thats about all for now.Oh one last thing, something that just bugs the HELL out of me. I find it disrespectful if I message someone and they *** without giving my profile a glance. Its not that hard to simply send a reply saying not interested.
