I looked up 'nerd' on dictionary.com (just because) and the 1st definition was "a stupid, irritating, ineffectual, or unattractive person". That's not really what I had in mind when I wrote I heart nerds for my profile. Needless to say... nerd is subjective.About me... I am honest, down to earth and enjoy variety in life. I like to keep active and play sports and such... In the winter I play indoor volleyball and in the summer you can find me playing slow pitch, beach volleyball, or out on the trails running. (I was so close last time!) I have only completed part of my degree, and will be back taking courses soon to finish it up!Music and concerts = amazo. Some of my most memorable shows include... This is the part of this process that we all hate, talking about ourselves. I could pour on with the cliche nice things about myself, but then I'll feel like I'm writing a resume, and I'm not...or am I? I'm a secondary teacher, so I spend a lot of time working with teenagers. Which really results in some of the funniest stories you will ever hear. Sadly most of my time right now is spent on lesson plans and marking. Sounds boring, doesn't it?Things I like... hmm.. I love theatre. I just finished directing my fourth production with students. I love every minute of it. I like reading, and will read just about anything when I have time, which sadly right now is limited to the 15 minutes before bed. I enjoy music, every kind and love finding new hidden gems and being introduced to bands I would have never found on my own.My friends and family are everything to me. My life particularly revolves around my youngest sister and my dogs. They have me wrapped around their little fingers/paws and what's worse is that they know it. But yeah, I'll do just about anything for my close friends and my family.I think that's about it for now. I'm just looking for some fun new people to hang out with, in hopes of curbing the madness that is my life. Doing something fun, something out of the ordinary. Drinks are good for a first meeting, but a first date should be something fun with many opportunities to laugh.

I am a very honest and driven person. I am straight forward and hope for the same treatment in return. I love traveling because it forces me to be more spontaneous; which is tough for someone who loves to plan and thrives on routines (the teacher in me). I have a cute dog, who keeps me active and makes me laugh. I play floor hockey during the winter, it is with a bunch of older women who were way better then me. I play soccer (indoor and outdoor) and started getting back into skiing last winter. I grew up spending all summer at my parents' cottage, so I love the water. I'm looking for someone who shares the same values and interests as me. Communication is essential, it is important that we both feel comfortable telling each other anything (good or bad). I am also looking for someone who knows who they are; who is willing to compromise, but not loose themselves in doing so. If you speak French that is a HUGE perk. I have learned a lot about myself in the past couple of years and truly believe that things happen for a reason. I've been hurt very deeply, just not willing to let that ruin my chance for happiness.
