I'm an elementary school teacher. I lived in AZ for three years to teach after college and moved back to MI in June ***. I'm hoping to meet new people and although I'd like to take things slow and start as friends, in the long-run I am looking to be in an exclusive relationship. My profession is very female-dominated so I've been having a hard time meeting the opposite sex, as well as people my age. I feel a little behind in life as the majority of my friends are either engaged, married, pregnant, have kids, etc... so our priorities are different. I'm a leader and not a follower. I believe that in giving you receive and in the basic principle of karma: what you put out to the world is what you get back. I believe in shaking it (aka doing a little dance) when you feel the urge. I enjoy friendly banter and getting a little feisty at times to keep people on their toes. I believe that you are the company you keep. I believe in the power of kindness. I never forget a face. I'm very independent. Maybe too much so for my own good, so it will take that special person to be a 'partner in crime.' I feel that I am usually the dependable/reliable one taking care of others and what I would really like is someone who can also be that for me. I'm about 5'6" and have dark brown eyes and light brown hair. I describe myself as curvy, but categorizing myself into a specific body-type is difficult. I'm not thin and I'm not fat. I take care of myself, exercise when I can (I love to dance and Zumba! I even *** first class this year for 8 weeks!) and am conscious about the foods I eat (but not overly strict... you have to enjoy yourself, too). I love to go out dancing and love music. I enjoy simple things in life. I'm not really the adventurous type. I like doing a little social drinking and going out occasionally but I also like having nights in, staying at home with a movie or good book and relaxing. It's all about balance.I am basically looking for someone respectful, honest, and funny. I'm looking for some maturity and someone who has their 'stuff' together. I'm really just looking for someone who is good company to experience the little, and big, things in life with. I love a great sense of humor and someone who is an overall gentleman. If your looking for the skinny blonde type, you have come to the wrong profile... Im not a huge woman but I have more to love and a great personality, to me its not the looks that matter its whats on the inside of that person that really does. I really love it here, and am still surprised by all there is to do. I spend most of my time now working with theaters and non for profit groups, so there really isn't a better town for it. I'm honest and down to earth. Trying new things and meeting new people always make for the best parts of my day. I love to laugh, and have a great sense of humor. Conversation is huge for me. I can talk, and yes sometimes argue, about movies, music, sports, books, food, politics, and religion. There's really no topic I'll shy away from.
