About Me

My life has been pretty hectic in recent years, but I'm ready to meet that special someone. I am a single mother with one child who is six years old, and his needs will always be my priority. My parents are really good about watching him for me when needed. I would like to find someone who is content with their life and knows that the people you love is what is really important at the end of the day. I like to camp, hike, and canoe when the weather is nice, and don't mind getting my hands dirty. I would describe myself as a laid-back, kind, hard- working, independent, and open-minded person. I'm all about relaxation after a long work- week and love to have a few beers and watch a good movie, especially if it is an old black and white one (movies from the 40s are my favorite). I enjoy reading, intelligent conversation and anything that has to do with history. I also enjoy going to antique shops. I am looking for someone that is tolerant, modest, responsible, and kind. I am not looking for someone wanting an intimate encounter. I have a long history of having friends and family "leaning on me" a lot, and I have no problem playing this role for the people I love. But it would be nice to have someone sturdy to lean on at times as well. I can be a little shy at first, but open- up once I have proof you are normal =-).     Good day, I have been here before and had the pleasure of meeting some very nice people however it didnt turn out to be more then friends in the long run. Given those fairly good experiences I have decided to try my luck once again. I am looking for someone who is interested in being in a relationship not just casual dating ... not my type of thing. I enjoy travelling and was lucky enough to see a few different places over the past couple years, I wonder what exciting place next year will bring.
