I guess you could say I march to the beat of my own drum. I'm opinionated, but I'm considerate. You can't get your point across by being an ass right? Don't answer that because I'm right :)I laugh easily. I am not high maintenance and I am not materialistic. I like to think I keep a good balance of caring about and putting effort into my appearance, but not losing my mind if my hair gets wet.I love rock 'n' roll and I like going to shows and seeing bands. I like art. I'm an animal lover. I enjoy wine and eating out. I also really appreciate a good dive bar. Once again, it is all about balance.I'm simply looking for someone awesome and irresistible. I promise not to hate on you for your mirror pics. If you're otherwise awesome, then who cares if you don't have someone ready, willing and available to take the perfect picture of you frolicking in a field of wildflowers?I own a horse and he is super important to me. It is like you and your sports only 1 million times cooler. Horse haters will be turned away without further discussion. I like just having a drink or coffee, maybe food, and just chat and get to know each other and find out if we click. Movies and jumping out of airplanes can wait for the second or third date!

Given that I bought a house, I also intend to stay in DC for a while, quite possibly for life. I am employed and I actually like what I do! I am a voracious reader finding that reading just one book at a time is not enough. I've seen Shawshank Redemption more times than I can count, yet am completely unable to change the channel if I come across the movie on television. I'm a sucker for puzzles, art museums, and dogs. I have goals that I have every intention of keeping including, but not limited to: visiting every state by the time I'm 38ish, reading every book on a "***novels you must read before you die" list I came across in the next 18 years, and getting at least one promotion at work in the next 4 years. I enjoy cooking and think I make a pretty damn good lasagna and black bean soup. I stay active by running, biking, hiking, and/or just going to the gym. I consider myself lucky having found a job I like, friends whom I adore and would do anything for, family who can be pretty awesome, and the independence to have bought my own home a few years ago.I, if I do say so myself, am a catch. (Get it?! A catch on plenty of fish! Yes. I can bust out the lame pun every once in a while.)Having dated quite a bit of unworthy guys, I do know what I'm looking for. So please don't be offended if I don't reply to your message. If you're wondering what it is I am looking for, well I want someone who is fun, funny, trustworthy, active, forthcoming, conversant, and honest. I want someone who will encourage my good habits, and help me break my bad habits. I want someone to share experiences with. I want someone who is in it for the long haul, not just for the night. Thanks for reading! I don't know - let's just have one!
