A job offer with a great company in the Oil & Gas Industry brought me west in ***after I graduated from university with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. I love to travel! I’ South America is the only, of the five warm continents, I’ve yet to visit.As my profile mentions above, I’m a bookworm. I am even a member of a book club, but it’s more a monthly social gathering with great company in a great Calgary restaurant to enjoy conversation over a glass of wine. Yes, there are actually books involved. They get maybe 15 minutes worth of discussion during the evening.Besides travelling & reading, I enjoy going to the gym and yoga, spending time with friends and my dog. I am enrolled to start my upgrading for my RN, which I will be starting in January. I drink tea in the mornings, and tend to be one of those happy morning people. I have three beautiful daughters and a great friendship with their father. I have a great reliable vehicle so spontaneous roadtrips are the norm for us, with family and friends all over... its really difficult to find a reason to stay home. Our last trip took us out to Tofino, after spending a day on my uncles boat. One could describe me as fun, spontaneous, independant, driven, passionate, thoughtful, compassionate, honest. I have a real zest for life, and usually wear my heart on my sleeve.I enjoy the arts and make a point of searching out new local talents, as well as visit the galleries on a regular basis. Live music also tends to be a weakness... if it be open mic's, karaokee, or theatrical presentations I'm game. I love history and checking out local museums, or hearing stories from older generations. I enjoy a glass of wine, or cooler in the evenings if the occasion calls for it. Don't smoke, but don't mind if others do. I work out when I can, but prefer being outdoors hiking, swimming, climbing, camping, exploring.
