Hi! and nice to meet whoever chooses to read this.I just had to let you know that I do not do the gym or have time to take off Kayaking or mountain climbing. However I do many other things that are a lot of fun. I am shy when it comes to this sort of thing but, I am doing this site because my brother has met his future wife through it and I too would like to meet someone who is not in a bar.I have been caring for others most of my life and ow it is my turn to look after me. I have been looking after other peoples children for a long time am now ready to meet Mr. Right and start a family of my own. (his children welcome)IF someone needs help it is usually me who is there to step up to the plate.I am starting my own business which is a professional cleaning company. I also do specialized teaching and advocacy for FASD kids from the community. I love to travel (when I can afford it), float down the Shuswap river and am game for just about anything within reason.I am afraid of snakes.and sleezy guys. Other then that I am easy going, very witty and funny. I can get sarcastic when I first meet people as it the way to cover up my shyness. I I have not dated for a long time so I am a bit nervous. I can cook, clean, drive and children are very dear to me. I work for my mom as a Respite worker for the many, many foster children she has. I can plan and put on a fancy dinner party to a child's 10th birthday party with all the trimmings.I love to read, and have debates from curtains to politics.I enjoy different types of coffee so that may be a a good place to start.There is a little pub near by that we could meet at (kids allowed) if you would like to chat and maybe go for a walk by the Shuswap River.Please be able to drive, have a vehicle and no severe drinking problems.Drop me a line if you would like to meet me.     Oh, the about me section. I have mixed feelings about it. On the one hand, it makes sense to write about myself so you would think I'm awesome and really want to meet me. On the other hand, it is fun getting to know someone and having an about me section with too much information kind of takes away from that, right? So, here are some random facts, a few likes and dislikes, in no particular order (subject to change). The rest? You'll need to find out for yourself! - I lived in 3 different countries and traveled a lot- I get bored easily and can't sit still for very long - I always ask for the aisle seat when flying although I really prefer the window one- No one has ever been able to guess where I am originally from and I find that pretty entertaining- Exercise and eating well are important to me- I have a pretty dry/sarcastic sense of humor - I have been my own boss for 7+ years and wouldn't have it any other way. Building a business takes more time & effort, but absolutely worth itI like:- Good coffee (a bit of a coffee snob), Good food (cooking and eating out) & Good wine- Reading- The mountains and ocean- Art, mostly drawing and photography (currently figuring out food and sports photography)- My career path. I make athletes fast & keep them healthy. I could tell you how, but then I will have to kill you. I've been lucky enough to work with some of the best in the world. Awesome.- Being active - mostly running, bikes (the human powered kind) and XC skiing. Swimming too, sometimes. I am competitive, but don't compete (anymore)- Seeing new places and experiencing different cultures (a different way of saying that I like traveling... Doesn't everyone?!)- Music. Almost anything, other than countryI dislike:- Fixing flat tires on my bikes- Waiting for things to happen- Doing stuff I am not good at- Negative & lazy peopleIf you actually read the above and I have sparked your curiosity, send me a message! There may or may not be a pop quiz when we meet... ;) I should mention that I'm not a fan of messaging each other back and forth for a while before meeting in person. I like the real world better than the online one & don't see the point of hiding behind a computer screen. It depends. You could surprise me... Bonus points given to creative ideas.
