I'm really not sure about this online dating stuff. No offense to everyone else out there, but it just seems like it shouldn't come down to this......might as well give it a shot, right? The most important things in my life, hands down: my friends, my animals, and my 3 godsons. I might be biased, but they're the cutest kids ever! :-) I'm very much passionate about helping others less fortunate.....until it doesn't feel like helping anymore, and more like enabling. If you don't care enough to recycle (or are one of "those" people who actually believe we're not killing our planet daily), we're going to have issues. It sickens me to think how wasteful and selfish the average American can be. :-( If you volunteer (in any capacity), serve our country in the military, work long hours for a good cause (i.e. nurse or social worker), are a law enforcement officer (police, fire, ***, etc).....my heart goes out to you. You are truly underappreciated, yet so incredibly needed!I hate romantic chick-flicks. Puke.-obviously-fell-in-love-at-the-end movie. But i also do not like gross, bloody, gory movies like "Saw" and "Hostel". Exception to the rule: I will (and MUST) see ANYTHING Jennifer Aniston is in. :-)I'm not a pessimist, but i AM a realist. People tend to confuse the two. I do not think life is full of glitter and rainbows. There’s a lot of evil in the world, and closing your eyes to it, doesn't make it go away. However, i'm also the first one to sit back and take in life's little wonders.I love baseball and hockey. I love, love, LOVE old ballparks. Fenway is close to heaven on earth. I'm indifferent to football. I don't care how many superbowls the Cowboys win. (Sorry if that's a deal-breaker). ;-)Traveling is a MUST in my life. I've been quite a few places, but there are still sooooo many places i need to go! I like the local culture of places. I definitely don't need to stay in 5-star hotels (and would prefer NOT to!) or eat at white linen restaurants when i'm somewhere new. I cringe when people know i'm a tourist. So that’s me. It’s a bigger "nut-shell" than i anticipated....oops! Bottom line: if you don't LOVE animals, the Earth, and travel.....don't bother. ;-)PS.........I like to stay up late & takes naps during the day.........I hope you do too. ;-) I don't care so much about the place or "type" of date..........but more about the guy. I just really want to laugh. If you have an awesome sense of humor (not the cheesy kind, that causes forced laughter), i'll be in heaven. If you're too proud to admit when you're wrong, keep walking. Or, even worse, if your ego is so enflated that you think you can do no wrong...........i'm allset.I don't like to go out alot. I did that in my 20's. I'm over it. Screeching drunk girls annoy the hell out of me. As do guys who think they're too cool for school and wear their stunner shades at 11pm.......inside. I'm really just looking for someone who can hit the gym hard & bring the energy, but then as the day is winding down, hang out on the couch with a J & watch a movie.

I have two amazing kids who still quite young. I love spending time with friends and family. I love the outdoors especially the ocean! I'm always most at "home" around water. My friends tell me I am a unique individual because most of the time I'm quirky and silly and am always trying to make someone smile or laugh. However, I also have a very professional and serious side. I love to read, mostly science fiction/fantasy or non-fiction. I'm not a huge romance fan ( I need action and a decent plot). :) I like going to movies or just staying home. I enjoy going for walks and bike rides and love getting to spend a few stolen moments in the sun in my hammock. I mostly listen to country, pop music but like a bit of everything. I'm a hugger and I love to cuddle. Being friends and getting to know someone first is important to me. I'm not a perfect size 10 or barbie doll. I'm as real as they come though and I'm a good person with a big heart and lots of love to give. Don't be shy say hello and ask anything you'd like to know. Who knows. Dinner and maybe a walk to chat and get to know eachother.

This profile is under construction :) I like to keep active at the gym, playing softball and coaching skating. This winter I'm hoping to try some skiing and maybe even curling. I have 3 nieces and 2 nephews and they mean the world to me. I love spending time with friends, whether it's an activity, a drink on a patio or just sitting around talking.I am ready to find a partner to share life with, but i don't want to rush it. And meeting new friends along the way is never a bad thing. Lately I've been trying to live by the following philosophy:A professor took an empty mayonnaise jar and filled it with golf balls, pebbles, sand and two cups of coffee. The jar represents life. The golf balls are the important things, things that if everything else was lost and only they remained, life would still be full. Family, friends, health, children and favourite passions. The pebbles are things that matter, like jobs, house and car.The sand is everything else - the small stuff. If you put the sand into the jar first, there is no room for the pebbles or golf balls. The same goes for life.If you spend all your time and energy on the small stuff, you will never have room for the things that are important to you.Take care of the golf balls first - the things that really matter. Set your priorities. The rest is just sand. And the coffee is to show that no matter how full your life may seem, there is always room for a couple of cups of coffee with a friend. If there is anything you would like to know, just ask. Happy fishing :-) Something somewhat active to break the ice and have a chance to talk. A walk or even something silly like mini golf.
