Hi! I am a very proud mother to a handsome 8 year old boy with autism. I won't sugar coat it and pretend its easy to parent a child with autism, because its not, but it is rewarding and it is my life. That being said, if you aren't looking for a serious committed relationship then please move along. I have zero tolerance for bs. Period. Ahem... I have worked in child care for over 15 years and am currently working as a teacher at a local preschool. I'm kind of a homebody but enjoy getting out when I can. I'm definitely past the bar and partying hard days and look forward more to fun that can involve the whole family. I'm not a size 8 or a size 16. I'm pretty average and I'm totally ok with that. Although, I wouldn't mind finding someone who inspires me to be better, in any way. I'm very sarcastic and love anyone who can make me laugh I'm a simple woman and try to focus on the things that are really important in life. I'm low maintenance and you'll never catch me boasting about a ***dollar purse or pair of shoes when there's people starving in this world. I'm fairly independent and definitely not desperate although I am anxious to find "the one". It's all about quality not quantity, I would love to find someone looking for a family not just a date. Lastly, I'm sure this wont get me many fans here in the "bible belt" but I am very liberal in politics and my religious views. I am a Christian and tend to follow many of the same principles as many universalists. I love to travel and experience new adventures in life. I love to try new restaurants, but don't have a favorite. My weakness is skittles and cosmic brownies. Hands down hot chocolate over coffee. White chocolate over milk or dark. God comes first in my life. For those of you who claim to never have time to read the Bible, I am a firm believer that if you put a copy on the back of your toilet you will read it. :) I want a man that will worship next to me because he truly wants to. Not because I want him there. I am a believer in working for what you have and want. If you've read thus far, you should know I have a son. I don't expose him to my personal life and won't until it gets to a serious "next step". I want a man that understands family comes first. I'm a straight to the point kind of person and sometimes brutally blunt but never disrespectful. There is a huge difference. I have no issue asking you to explain something to me if I don't understand what you are saying. I like to be taught new things..I tend to be a sponge at times. I'm still in college..will eventually be finished but until that day comes I will continue to focus and move forward with life. Race isn't an issue..we are all human and most of us have a heart, right? I'm really open. My thought is if I come with no expectation, I will not leave disappointed.
