Here is my start with more to come ... I am happy, honest, and am told vivacious. I smile a lot, I laugh a lot, I almost always have a song that I am singing internally. I will always chose to see the glass half full so have been able to experience many adventures with a great attitude and to laugh at those which have not been so wonderful. I am feminine, intelligent, easy going, adventurous, confident, secure, and very prone to make mistakes (which I will laugh about) :). I believe in "chemistry" but I am aware that a good, solid relationship requires a chemistry that grows and continues over time well beyond the initial spark. That being said, there must be something initially which attracts me to someone and this something is far deeper than a person's physical appearance. I enjoy life and have especially enjoyed being a parent. My children are now grown; one still in college and one just graduated and beginning her "new life". So now, it's my turn :)IMy hobbies are varied from the physical pursuits; cycling, hiking, skiing, crossfit, ( this October I participated and completed the Tough Mudder which was an amazing experience) ... to the arts;;tinker"). I enjoy movies, learning opportunities, spirited discussions, and just time "hanging around". My musical tastes are varied from classic rock, a little country, and the newer sounds. I love to dance so music is in my spirit. I read a variety of genres. Probably one of the most important books I have read and try to live by is The Four Agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz (not always easy to put in practice).I am interested in meeting a man who loves life and the challenges it brings, who wants to travel and explore locally, domestically, and internationally, is fit and active and loves the outdoors, is kind and caring and wants to take time to become friends first rather than leaping into a short term relationship based strictly on our physical chemistry (Not that there is anything wrong with that physical lust which we all love ... I just want to develop something in addition to :) )I look pretty good in a nice pair of jeans, dress, hiking boots, high heels, a bikini, an evening dress ... I am a bit shy about making the "first move", please excuse this part of my upbringing, so I will do my best to let you know I am interested. I like to think I am fairly smart, fun and successful in life ( at least for the most part). I have a generally positive outlook. I have a reasonable amount of baggage for someone at this stage in life, and an unreasonable amount of pets :) I enjoy time off and traveling. I went to Australia a few years ago and would love to go back and take some more time there. I would like to make it to New Zealand and the Cook islands this time. Lately I have been making a point of exploring more of the United States. I have a long list of places I want to go see and would really love to find someone to take those trips with. that one requires a do over...Locally I enjoy going to the more small town events and establishments. I am not a fan of huge crowds. I love a nice evening out at a place where I can be comfortable. No suit required kind of a place. I love to cook a nice meal with friends and family, sit out on the deck on a Summer evening and bbq. I love to explore small town shops or sights ( you know, the worlds biggest ball of string kind of attractions).I would like to meet someone who is generally happy. Someone who laughs easily and can make the best of a bad situation. Someone who has a direction in their life. Someone who is available and not looking for an *** but open to seeing where it goes. Someone I can talk with and spend time with, have fun with and travel with. ( And above all someone who can occasionally put up with a herd of small yapper type dogs) note: occasionally :)

But I promise you, we will have a good conversation and some laughs! I think the first date should be a get to know each other setting. Perhaps coffee or appetizers and a drink. Someplace not too loud or too fancy so that we could hear each other talk and feel comfortable. I think it's important to be yourself on a first and any date.
