Woman. 55 years old. Zodiac sign: Pisces.

Looking for: man. In age: 52-62

Remember when you felt anything was possible? That's how I feel about finding the special man - I know he's out there. I am pretty active and work at staying in shape so I can enjoy being active for as long as possible. I am looking for a man who will accept me for my strengths and vulnerabilities, and of course it's reciprocal. Sense of humor required! As a side note, please be upfront about your age. I am 54 and while I don't feel 54, whatever that is supposed to feel like, I don't want to win anyone over simply because I listed a younger age. I want to win someone over because of who I am.

I would love to explore the city with someone special—maybe that's you? My idea of a good time can branch off in many directions— good conversation at a coffee shop (or anywhere, basically), listening to live music, going to wine tastings or other places where I can learn something new, bookstores, movies, and live theatre or improv comedy come to mind. (Not all in one day:) Love going for boat rides and would like to learn to sail (although I know I'd be a fair weather sailor) or just being near the water.), but haven't had a chance to yet. I like listening to a variety of live music. I'm a huge fan of The Beatles, and have watched the Anthology too many times to mention (but I guess I just did:) Love other music too. If you have an interest in fiction or film, that's a plus, but not a big deal. The main thing for me is that we have enough in common to keep the relationship interesting and where we want to spend time together. I love great design of all kinds and was a former graphic designer and had other arts/crafts businesses in the past. Now writing is my creative interest, and fortunately, takes up very little space!Cooking a nice pot of soup on a cold, damp day or reading by a fireplace can be a good time. Going out with friends and entertaining would be nice, too. Mainly, I'm looking for a partner to dance through life with. I'd like to connect with a man physically, mentally, and emotionally, but that spark is important, too--the part that can't be easily defined. Meeting for coffee/tea/wine is a nice way to get to know if there's a connection between us before setting up another longer date.

I'm looking for that diamond in the rough, with a great smile, a sense of humor and who's easy to be around. Just an all American great guy, really. He... has morals and integrity... is kind and considerate... well balanced... with no strange hang-ups. He is a confident and positive person with varying interests like myself. He values health by staying in shape and eating right (most of the time). Let's face it, it takes more effort as we get older! What I believe- I still believe in the Golden Rule- treat others the way you would like to be treated. I've found generally, it is when we forget that rule- that we find ourselves in conflict. I like to give everyone the benefit of the doubt, because we all deserve it most of the time. My motto is, the often used cliche', "mean people suck" They really do. Let's be kind. I think we can never have too many friends! I was raised with good old fashion southern values, and believe we can always improve ourselves. I also believe we have miracles all around us, if we open our eyes. I love all animals, babies, children and people in general, unless you're just downright evil or absolutely clueless and refuse to own up to anything. I have to admit, I've only met one person who falls into that last category. I do believe all God's creatures deserve to be treated with respect, including children.I realize how mushy and corny all that may sound, but those are my core beliefs. I'm up for almost anything at least once, sort of a girly-girl tom-boy. Like to be active or reading by a fire, entertaining or watching a great movie, it's all good, if the company you keep is, as well! A first date for me would be simple and uncomplicated. Maybe coffee or a glass of wine, or dinner with a great view, while getting to know each other. If you make me laugh, not just a haha laugh, but a roll on the floor laugh.. well, there might just be a spark! We'll both know if it's right. It should be easy.
