About Me

How bout them DAWGS? :) Sorry guys... this profile is long and more like a book.... YOU DON'T HAVE TO BE A 6 ft 5 guy to go out with me. :) But I am tall! And I wear heels too. IS ANYONE OUT THERE A BOY SCOUT RUGGED TYPE THAT LIKES OUTDOORSY FEMININE WOMEN? And maybe you are a bit of a bad boy too, but deep down are just a really good man? Knock knock, hello??? And where are all the tall men in the world. Like 6 ft 4 and over. Just wondering. Ok.... can I ask for what I want in a guy? You know that saying... be careful what you wish for... it may just come true? Well, here it goes... I am looking for a great, fun loving guy who is sincere, honest and has a big heart. Strong moral character.... knows how to be good to his friends and family. A sense of humor is a must... I love a funny man. Are you spontaneous and like adventure.... and maybe act younger than you are? Those are great things in my book... Tall is great, but you do not have to be tall to get my attention or steal my heart. A gentleman...and know how to treat a lady. Fit, or athletic, and definitely active and take care of yourself. Conversation is very important to me... companionship and great chemistry. Please be willing to get out on the dance floor and have fun... I don't care if you can really dance or not... but if you have fun... that is what matters. I seem to get along better with college educated men or men that have a thirst for knowledge and learning. And fun... the fun factor is big for me right now. So there it is... this nice girl is asking for what she wants. Do I want to just date guys now and have lots of fun or do I want something more serious with one man? I have been asked that question quite a few times... I don't really know. The right man will take me off of here I feel sure... but I do understand that a relationship takes time to evolve. Soooo....... I don't really want to be a princess.... surely you know that. But maybe in your eyes, just a little bit would be nice. You know how on here you have to say how long your longest relationship was?? Well, mine was almost 28 years... and we dated for 6 years before we got married. So I know how to do relationships. I guess what I have to figure out now is how to date. I never really did that. And this is hard. Sometimes really, really hard. Maybe I will figure it out as I go along. What I just keep thinking is that the man I am going to be with for the rest of my life is out there somewhere. I wish I could find you, because I think I am getting ready for you. Now about me.... I am tall, 5'10", slender with an athletic build. Let me emphasize something here.... I AM TALL! I am every bit my 5 ft 10 inches. I have broad shoulders....I am also athletic. All that combined makes for a physical presence that some guys may be suprised about. I am not this tiny petite thing. If you are not accustomed to a tall woman, it may suprise you. I don't know.... lots of you guys are not honest about your height. Well, I am being truthful here. My photos are all very recent. I played tennis in my youth and into college. I love sports, tennis player, hike, and work out, exercise on a regular basis. I like the way it gives me energy and keeps me healthier in all aspects. I love to cook, and it is one way I show affection for people I care about. If I like you... I will feed you. But I am learning... I like to be spoiled too, and certainly love to be taken out to a nice dinner, and if you cook, wow. That is very nice. I have a Scandinavian heritage- I spent my formative years here in the South. I am somewhat traditional, but the older I get the more I enjoy things with a twist, quirky, fun, or daring. They say that is what happens when women hit midlife- we get confident, fun and know what we want. I am very open and honest, and appreciate that in others. OK..... HERE IS A CHALLENGE FOR SOME OF YOU SMART, TALENTED MEN THAT LIKE TO COMMUNICATE..... Would you please explain how the male mind works??? I am having a very hard time making sense of things. I still like men.... not a man hater by any means, but, you guys are hard to figure out sometimes. I love to cook, like being outdoors- camping, hiking, travel, antiquing and collecting, dancing, movies. Enjoy entertaining. College football. My son plays college ball. Some of my favorites- My kids,my family, dancing,PINK roses, music, white sand, crisp fall days, football games,a great beer in a COLD glass, good wine, fishing, sleeping in a tent under the stars, cooking breakfast, deep fresh snow, living in the mountains,a great meal, romance, tall, handsome men (I really do like tall men, but if you are not tall that is ok, I just really notice tall guys! Men that have a great sense of humor and can make me laugh, sincerity, empathy for others, and honesty. All very important. Life is good for me right now. Even though you may detect a sense of frustration here....I am enjoying my new single life. I really like meeting new people. I seem to interact with men quite well. You guys are very interesting.... did you know that? I just can't seem to figure you out. And I probably don't need to really, but it is challenging. And I love a challenge. I am interested in dating, and seeing what happens from there. I love it when a man is a gentleman. If you have put some thought or effort into something, even a very simple thing, if it shows your individuality and personality I will notice that. I love humor. A man that can make me laugh is halfway there. I enjoy life, I can be serious, but I also know how to keep things light and enjoy the moment and not get too uptight about things. I really do understand the differences between men and women. I have raised 2 great kids, a son and a daughter, and have enjoyed the distinct differences in how they develop. I am throwing this in here... my son, 23, is in my some of my pics.. and yes, he is a big guy, almost 6 ft 5. A lot of you have asked how tall is he? :) A great athlete, and he is out of college now and working at a nice job. I have not pictured my daughter, 25, for obvious reasons. So don't ask,she is taken, lol. She played 2 college sports, we are an athletic family...or at least enjoy competition. :) Be imaginative and fun, nice, and I will be happy. I like great food, a glass of wine or good beer, doing things outdoors, cultural events, or even better just talking and getting to know each other. I am easy to talk to and friendly and I don't bite. I like it when a guy shows his interest, and lets me know in different ways. I like hearing from you so just *** have fun. Life is too short not to have fun and be good to each other.

OMG I thought I'd come in and update/improve my profile, but it is already exactly what it should be. This is me, and I'm sorry that it seems to only attract men who are so much older as to be inappropriate, but it''s (my profile) still correct. We're all getting older, cause it turns out that life is actually long, not short but the maxims hold true as in 'do you really want to carry that baggage any further?"Hi, I am a tall blue-eyed blonde who loves to cook, maybe spends too much time thinking and enjoys her kids and grandkids, but would like to find someone to share time with. I will listen to stories about almost anything, laugh in the right places, go to movies, out to eat, pretty normal stuff, no ski-diving or bungee jumping, please.Would like to meet someone employed or comfortably retired, sane, healthy, and funny. Preference given to those with old pick-up trucks, Harleys, dogs and completed 'project houses" cause I have one, too. And, yes, I'm ready now and looking for you.Just to be successful (according to the advice of this website): my hobbies are mostly solitary pursuits, I garden/landscape (once you're using shovels, picks and moving wheelbarrow loads I think you've moved from the former to the latter), I read, do needlework, sew, volunteer;; my taste in music: everything from classical to classic rock to country to jazz and yes, even rap, there is a place and a time for everything :) A first date could be anything... I'm open to new things and partial to the inclusion of food.

I'm not a fan of writing a profile. Half the fun is how the conversation unfolds! Prefer a telephone conversation over an *** chat, but I've finally decided it's like we're at a friends gathering where he's told me a little about you. If we catch each others eye perhaps we'll start a conversation. Being kind, gentle, caring and optimistic about people and life is key to living happy. Comfortable in most situations, I enjoy a variety of experiences. I love everything about nature, children, and big extended families. Music is usually playing...LOUDLY if I'm alone. Mom raised me to leave every situation better than I found it and I love to learn! My youngest son moved out in September and I retired a 20 year span of after school sports last February. I'll miss that, but I'm looking forward to the next chapter. Although I usually try to have a plan, some of my favorite memories were initiated by spontaneous acts. I love to smile. Doing anything outdoors gives me a rush;) I love a thought provoking quote or read and try to keep up on news and current events. I wake each day happy and it's usually pretty early. I'm independent, honest to a fault, and think communicating prevents drama. While I'm not in the gym every week I still try to stay in shape through my activities. The dog in the picture is not mine. Please don't let distance prevent you from initiating contact. While I am a home owner my job situation is unique and my location is flexible.Integrity, honesty, empathy and compassion is what I look for in others. You know...the golden rule kind of stuff. Romantically speaking I'd like to find a man who is honest; confident; real; intelligent; aware; optimistic; conversational; and can take my breath away with a kiss. While my profile says dating, I'm hoping to capture someone’s undivided attention. That said, if I don’t have your undivided attention you probably won’t have mine. Not looking for love at first sight though. Quiet frankly that scares the hell out of me! I’m looking to take one day at a time while we learn about each other.Still holding out...not for promises...for a friend that can maintain that friendship through the passions and trials of life!
