Hi there, since I've been on this site, I've re-evaluated what it is that I am looking for.I am taking a huge step backward and am just looking for friendships at this time.And I don't mean friends with benefits, that sounds so shallow, for me anyway.Sounds like something an Insurance company might offer you, "and now, you can have friends with benefits! Operators are standing by!"Doesn't mean I don't want a long term connection, I am just being cautious. And with friends, you never know, you might find the friend you want to be with. I'm a happy person, and if I never get into another relationship I know I'll be happy anyway, maybe lonely at times, but that's normal. But in reality, I'M probably the Knight-and Shining Armor-ette who will find a guy that trips me as I walk by him and I realize he's the one.Divorced in '08.Not bitter, just did not make the right choice in a partner and it became necessary to part ways. I'm very independent and would never ask a guy for money, and I cannot be bought. So relax the high maintenance worries!I'm NOT looking for a guy who's only looking for a lady with superficial qualities.I have a good sense of humor and don't like to take myself too seriously, although I'm human and have my serious moments. I think I'm too sensitive at times, I'm a softy, not harsh. But that's part of who I am, I will not ever have a tough exterior or calloused hide as some people have suggested I develop. That will never be me.However, I'm not a push over either, and I will stand my ground and protect myself if I'm being picked on, even if I go cry in private later. I may be sensitive, but I'm also a survivor.I love being out in nature, looking at all the details God has created on this earth.Looking up at the night sky and wondering what is beyond what NASA has discovered so far,beyond awesome!! I won't pretend to be an expert at space science, but I love to learn as much as I can, even if a lot of it is beyond(there's that word again, but can't come up with another word to take it's place) my comprehension.I have a wonderful elderly mom,wonderful younger sister with special needs, and a great brother too.Have great friends from childhood. I love them dearly. I'm prior US Navy RN,Nurse Corps x4 yrs, retired as a LT.Now I work as an advice R.N. and love what I do, how lucky I am to be able to speak with patients and give them advice and discuss prevention for good health!I have a clean history.No trouble with the law nor drugs and proud to be the nerd that I am!! I believe in God, although I haven't been to church in yrs.Baptised Catholic.Bad boys need NOT apply.. NO Criminal History please,Looking forward to whoever is out there meant for me to meet and enjoy! :) Coffee, ok tea or whatever else you want to drink ,as long as you are not impaired by it and can therefore drive SOBER !. Go for a walk and talk.Will never argue with having dessert. Even lunch. But in a public place. I want to feel out the situation and make sure I'm safe.

You know, I have had my profile up for some time now. I have noticed that sometimes someone will reach out to me, but never to be heard from again. I am truly perplexed as to what I say or do that takes me from someone's favorite list to zero contact. I think I will be leaving this site as I am not sure that the people on here are truly interested in finding someone or I am so far out of my league that I do not belong. I am an easy-going gal looking to meet some new friends & I love to laugh & be around others who can find humor in most situations. Laughter & humor are the quickest way to my heart! I tend to be a bit shy & reserved when first meeting someone but it wears off quickly! :) I love trying new things, taking road trips w/no specific destination, heading out of town at a moment's notice, or meeting friends out w/no other plan but to play it by ear.My ideal match would be a good communicator and listener, honest, affectionate, dependable, patient, respectful, and would of course have a great sense of humor. Of course he could expect to receive all these qualities in me. I would also appreciate the man in my life to have a strong relationship w/his family, enjoying spending time w/them, and interested in getting to know mine, as family is very important to me. A perfect date to me would be staying in, cooking dinner together, listening to music, watching a silly movie, or just talking for hours about random subjects. I love low key t- :) I tend to prefer hole-in-the-wall pub/sports bars & small neighborhood restaurants over stuffy club atmospheres, though I can have fun doing about anything if the company is good :) A great first date would be doing anything that allowed us to get to know each other while doing something fun together. Nothing that seems like a job interview or too intense. Chemistry is critical and having fun doing things together is, I think, a great way to see if we have it!
