First line up there? If you get it, please give it a chuckle. Thanks. I appreciate that. I hate the new descriptors meetville is using, so if you are looking for a coffee snob, it ain't me. I don't drink coffee. But I really don't think film tv buff is me either. Sure I watch them but they certainly aren't my life. The whole am I looking for a date, a husband or a partner forever thing puts me off as well. Why can't there be multiple choices there? I don't know. I was with my husband for 28 years or so, then he died. I dated a bit, then found an online guy. Who lived too far away. Well that guy dumped me for a local gal after almost three years. I truly don't know what I want now. I just know I don't want that. I hesitate to put that here on meetville because when I did I ran into all kinds of people I know. And I know well. And sure I'm not at the point where this isn't all a little embarrassing still. Damn if only I was still twenty and cute as hell! I'd walk down the street and get dates and marriage proposals! Job offers too! But life has gone on and I'm just an older chubbier chick looking for something real. They are great kids and are practically self sufficient, but they do need me occasionally.I run a business and I have very flexible hours that allow me to take care of family, friends and have a private life as well. I live near a city center and like going over and listening to bands and going to comedy clubs. I like to dance but I am a little shy on the dance floor. I guess it's more fun than playing solitaire, not sure, let me check my cards.What am I really good at? No clue. Reading, writing, arithmetic? Balancing the books?I wish I could say reading people, but no. I wish I could say seeing the future, but no.I guess I'm okay at raising kids and doing the juggling act between work, family and trying to have a, uh, hmm, well, you know, social life. I do try.Okay, my sense of humor is well developed. Sorry guys but that means, no, I really don't enjoy Southpark that much, but I don't care if you do.I do settle disputes relatively well, luckily as it is part of my job, helps with a big family as well.Ah, thought of one at last, I am really good at remaining calm during emergencies, is this one? First date huh? Well I would say meet for coffee. But I don't drink coffee. I do drink tea though. The only problem with that is I generally live too far away to just meet for coffee. So I don't know. Get together and figure out if we click or not would be the most important thing. If that's over a pizza or a drink, either is fine.

    I'm a divorced mom blessed with two wonderful kids - a daughter 19 and a son 17. Now that my kids are older I'm looking for someone to date and hopefully develop into a long-term relationship. I am a big baseball fan probably stemming from the fact that my son plays both high school ball as well as travel ball. Love going to watch either the Phillies or Orioles play. I think the first date should be something casual - maybe drinks at a local pub or coffe/tea/hot chocolate at the local coffee shop - where we can have a conversation and get to know one another. If things are going well then maybe moving onto dinner and seeing where the night takes us.
