Hi! and thanks for stopping by... I am here hoping to find my best friend, my lover, my confidant and my life companion. I understand that sometimes two people that have similar interests just may not click when they meet. That's OK, that is life! We are all adults here. I worked hard for 25 years and am paying for it now. lol...everything works, i am just a little slower than I was at 20! I like all music, from Mozart to Metallica, and everything in between except rap and hip-hop. i still love life and get enthused about the good things!Going to the symphony, the theater, out to see a good blues band, a ball game, or the tractor pulls at the fair are some things I enjoy.Walking in the park or on the beach, sitting on the back porch watching the sun rise (or set) are also good times. Road trips are fun too, both planned and spontaneous! I have a great sense of humor and can laugh at myself when I have a blonde moment. I am well-read and never intend to stop learning. I have patience for just about everything except willful stupidity and deception! I am not into the bar or club scene, I just don't drink much, but will go see a good band. I love animals, and have owned many different kinds over the years. I have a valid passport, and would love to see more of the world someday. I enjoy the slower pace of country life and the culture available in cities.I prefer small gatherings to large parties, don't need to have money spent on me to have a good time, appreciate the gift of a compliment when warranted more than a thousand birthday gifts on that one day of the year. Hi! Well, here is a taste of me. Check me out.....I love to spend time with my two wonderful granddaughters and my family. I like to read, take walks, hike, swim, ride motorcycles (as a passenger), spend time with my dog, sit on the couch with my feet up, watching my favorite programs and movies. I like to go out on a Friday or Saturday night to a favorite place and enjoy a drink with my friends. I enjoy a relaxing bath or a dip in a hot tub. I enjoy taking a vacation every year. Hopping on a plane to visit family and take in the sights of a new destination. My goal is to simply be who I am, not who someone wants me to be. I also want to continue to work on my bucket list. I am where I want to be in my career and I am aspiring to be a better karaoke singer, learn spanish, and to keep being the grandma that the girls want to spend time with.Talk about myself....well, I have been told that I am a caring, loving, considerate, sweet, sharing, wonderful woman (beep...beep my own horn). I am an educated woman, not with the over-the-top GPA, but educated enough to communicate well and make my point. I try to give of myself to help others and I love my sense of humor. Life is too short to not giggle and laugh whenever possible. I have been through a few hardships in the past few years and with the help of my family and friends, I have tapped into my inner strength to pull myself through and land on my feet, stronger that I was before. I truly believe that "what doesn't kill you makes you stronger". A positive attitude makes all the difference! OK....I'm not at all electronically illiterate, but when it came to the IPOD, I was living under a rock. I had one, but I never set it up and used it. Now, because of a friend, I am the proud owner of a fully functioning, music loaded, IPOD! I love that thing! I don't care for all types of music, but I am proud of the fact that my taste is open to many styles and artists. I like 70's, 80's, 90's and up. Some classical, jazz, Big Band, some country; old and new, rock, very little rap. I'm always open to listening to something new. Although you will know when I am listening to my favorites ( I start to move, and I can't stop!)I am a warm, good hearted, woman who has a lot to give to the right person. Let's see.....Music, a soft, thick blanket to sit on, chilled, organic semi-sweet wine to sip on. Hot finger foods, fresh fruits and, of course, a yummy chocolate dish for dessert. I hope that we can manage to leave the ants at home!!!
