*IF YOU DO NOT HAVE A PICTURE WITH YOUR PROFILE, I WILL NOT RESPOND* if i can manage to post a picture, since i am technologically challenged, anyone can. i don't fiddle around with electronics much. that said, i CAN-cook anything from scratch, pitch a tent, build a fire, heat my house entirely with wood, paint a house, clean anything well, do my own yardwork, basically anything that requires some hands on work. so, i'm hardworking, honest(sometimes too much), loyal, up-front, not stupid, clean cut, well groomed, a little sarcastic, funny, affectionate, girly (NAILS ALWAYS PAINTED!! EVEN WHEN CAMPING!!), outdoorsy, yada yada yada. i don't like negative people, drunks, druggies, obviously. i love people who like-to smile, laugh, talk, take walks, dogs, horses, red wine, wonderful food, live music(not every night in a bar though), wine festivals, music festivals(i love the blues), the beach, lakes, rivers, streams, boats(small, big, no preference)camping, not camping(HA!), good movies, great books. i never watch television, so if you do, you will be doing it alone. i like to spend my free time outside with my dogs, i do a little trail riding with some friends who have horses, lying around by the water, on the water, making dinner for friends, going to antique stores, sightseeing, stopping in at local wineries, having my friends over to shoot pool. i LOVE to get dressed up and have a nice slow wonderful meal, or not***jeans, t-shirt, mexican dive with great margaritas! need to know more? ask.I HAD TO COME BACK AND ADD A FEW THINGS! i'm sorry if anyone finds this offensive, but i am in no way interested in dating someone who is overweight. no smokers. period. also none of you guys who have a bunch of negative comments in your profile, "looking for my next ex-wife" kind of stuff. if you have a lot of pictures of you with other women, even if you have tried to cut them out, that too is a BIG turn off since i am not looking for a player. oh, and those icky pictures of yourself naked...no. i always prefer an early dinner for a first date. have a drink somewhere, chat, decide what type of food we agree on. go somewhere either fun or delicious for dinner (or both if we agree to get dressed up!) enjoy a relaxed dinner, more chatting. then on to dessert! yes i have a ferocious sweet tooth. if dinner goes well, maybe holding hands and having a stroll afterward. see, i'm pretty simple. save the more complicated dates for someone more demanding, or for further down the road. i prefer to get to know someone, quietly, first.

    Thanks for reading my profile!!This is my 2ND attempt on meetville. I had to delete my first profile because it was hacked into. So here I go again!!I'm a strong, street smart, but at times gullible woman. Most of the time I have a lot of common sense and insight. I can be a bit shy at first but I warm up fast. I consider myself spiritual ,and down to earth.I am not materialistic, but I do enjoy the finer things in life, like lobster tail in brown butter and a night out on the town. But I do NOT need those things to be happy. I can be a bit blunt, telling it like it is. But I'm not unkind and I hate hurting any one's feelings. Unfortunately I do at times because I don't always think before I open my mouth for the sake of trying to be funny. So I must say I have tasted my foot in my mouth more often then I should. If you were to ask me my "type"I would say, Darker hair with a great smile and eyes that I can look into without wanting to look away for some unexplained reason. I have learned that anything worth having in life takes work and compromise.And when you find the right one he or she should be able to bring out the best of you. Love should not make you feel bad about yourself in anyway.I love doing anything outdoors. I enjoy mountain biking,tennis,and anything at the beach, long walks. A night in front of the fireplace with a chilled appletini is a favorite winter night for me. I love classic rock and like going to see any great cover band and being wild for the night!! I am always open to trying new things. I am a hard worker and not afraid to get my hands dirty . But I am also a girly girl, and love to dress up for a night on the town with my man.     Depending on the situation or activity, I can be low-key and reserved or high-energy. And, it's difficult to compare myself with others but I feel I'm in very good physical shape...I enjoy hiking, cycling (road cycling and rail-trails) and still use my cross-country skis. My preference would be to enjoy your company and get to know you while we spend time together outdoors...why don't we meet up to go kayaking, canoeing, hiking, or sailing together? (There are many rivers and lakes to explore in Pa.) When I have any free time, I prefer spending it outdoors or going to concerts. I studied visual arts in college and taught arts & humanities for most of my career.- June through mid- At some point, I would like to ..canoe in the Adirondackes, sail anywhere, hike in the White Mts. of NH, Shining Rock Wilderness Area in NC or State Parks in Pa., do some star-gazing in remote areas, and find time to draw/paint outdoors. I've had to be practical while raising my daughter and have stuck it out for her (in the middle of nowhere and hours from anywhere). Now that I can retire..or cut back to an easier part-time job, I will have more time to travel. I am seeking direction on this site (but, I wonder is this too idealistic or unrealistic?..).), enjoy the outdoors, learn a folk ***, and spend more of my free time volunteering. Music: americana 'roots', folk, world, celtic, swing/big band, some rock. Favorite recent songs: 'That's the way love goes.' (Shawn Colvin &; Ride). Books: currently reading The Plot Against America. Favorite books last year: The Warmth of Other Suns: The Epic Story of America's Great Migration, Blink, Outliers. It's also nice to get together for an activity such as a hike.
