Hi guys!.. I'm an independent, openly affectionate, fun lovin' mother of an awesome 24 year old son...with a love for MUSIC, ANIMALS/nature & comedy. I enjoy workin' out a couple times a week. Tryin' to tone up...lose some weight and live a healthier, happier lifestyle. (Already payin' off!) It would be nice to interact with like-minded individuals. I like to fish...and YES...I bait my own hook! I have a HUGE lovin' heart, a sharp mind (above average)...admittedly suffers from occasional "blond moments". HUSH! It’s part o'me charm. *Giggle* I'm animated with a WARPED sense of humor...a bit of a smahtazz...but ONLY in fun. I'm outspoken in a matter of fact, logical kind of way. I'm a very open, effective communicator...and would appreciate the same. I avoid drama...I'll walk away from an argument. Sort of tomboy/jeans & T shirt type... I'm pretty laid back for the most part...easy to get along with...with an occasional playful hyper streak that can get me into trouble if I get the giggles. (I could very well be the ONLY volunteer parent in history to be put in "time out" in my son's kindergarten class. LOL) Sort of a loner/homebody at times...but I do like to get out and do things. Very easy to please...not materialistic...jus' wanna love and be loved. I enjoy anything sensual…LOVE to kiss, or anything that provokes laughter or deep thought. I also enjoy sharin' new interests and ideas. And might I add...that I have an inner "rocker child" jus' itchin' to get out! \m/O^O\m/My son is the MOST important thing in my life...that goes without sayin'...but right now...I am focusin' on my level of happiness for a change. He's doin' his own thing back in SC...and though I HAVE dated since I left my ex...I've never brought a man into our home. I don’t believe in paradin’ men/women around children…so I’ve put a lot of my own needs on the back burner to be a GOOD, committed single mom. Now that I have raised my son I feel like I can finally "exhale"...so to speak. I'm tryin' to broaden my circle of friends...and maybe let someone special into my life. I'm not in a big hurry...things should develop naturally over time.At the risk of interjecting negativity...I'll not meet anyone without a recent photo (C'mon y'all...we were all hot back in high school! LOL)...one taken within the past couple of years will suffice. Nor will I meet anyone I've not spoken with on the phone. Once weboth reach a certain level of comfort...we can meet on a "no promises/no expectations" basis and see where it leads. (No players or "one night stands"...self respect thing y'know.) If we make a mutual connection...and it goes there...I'd love to explore a romantic, long-term relationship. If it blossoms into something deep and meaningful...wonderful! (But please don't lead me to believe that we share somethin' more...if we don't.)     What I like.... Morning coffee, Quiet moments, The ocean, Good Friends, Music, Spicy Thai food, Movies and books that make you think, Animals, Spontaneous affection. Here's a random list of things about me in no particular order.....I'm very upbeat and positive. I have a broad and mischievous sense of humour and laughter is high on my list of must haves. There are those who've been kicking around for 45 years and some relatively new ones but no less appreciated. We enjoy getting together for meals, casual coffee, backyard BBQs concerts or raucous euchre matches! I love animals of all sorts and am not afraid to carry spiders outside or remove a snake from the yard. I have an open mind and strive to never judge. I do not tolerate drama or gossip. I never refer to the past as "baggage". I find that expression disrespectful of who we are and what we've experienced, both the good and the bad. I'm a first generation Canadian of European background and have travelled many places in both North America and Europe. I love movies of any genres but not those that are mostly cg. My music tastes are varied. Frank Sinatra. Roxy Music. The Verve. Gino Vanelli. The list is endless. I love going to concerts as well. Big or small. I believe two people can and should have activities/ friends outside their relationship. It's healthy!I believe monogamy can be as arousing as the most passionate kiss and that slipping secret, loving notes to one another is not a past-time reserved for teenagers (although I think they refer to it as texting now). I enjoy photography and attempted to learn water colour painting , the results of which are pulled out and admired when a good laugh is needed:)I'm very interested in refinishing furniture but alas, have no real space to attempt my many intended projects. I'm expanding my love of writing to other avenues as well but that's in it's early stage. I can't really dance or golf. I'm not very good at any particular physical, sporting activity but I'm willing to learn new things! I'm trying to learn to be more spontaneous, a quality that's been lacking for most of my life. Rivers. Lakes. Seas. Oceans. I'm drawn to water whether its swimming or boating and yes gentlemen, it's been a while but I've baited my own hook, reeled in my catch and removed it without assistance. I could fillet my fish by the time I was 12. I'm in no hurry to cohabitate or marry. I'm comfortable living on my own at this time. I want to spend time with a loving partner and get to know them for as long as it takes. If you have a family, that's fine. So do I. I would hope they would blend nicely together.
