About Me

I love all types of sports and enjoy watching them live or snuggling on the couch sharing popcorn! I like boat rides, going to movies, plays, the ballet or bowling-as long as who I am with is having fun, I am flexible! I have recently moved to a new area, so my immediate goal is to get to know people and places around me. I have a daughter who is a few years from college, so I would be more than happy to date someone who has children. She has a horse,and we also have a dog and cat, so Animal Lovers are welcome! I am an avid reader and like board games and puzzles-I have recently discovered that a lot of my friends engage in family game night and its fun! I do enjoy quiet dinners and outings, but I am also very social, so cookouts and tailgate parties, fundraisers and church functions are also enjoyable. I am church-shopping at the moment. I was brought up Catholic and my daughter made her Confirmation last year, but we both decided we were going to visit many different churches in our new area looking for that right fit. As a parent I think it would benefit her to meet many different people,especially as she will be attending college in a few years. I am a very hands-on parent-I know all of my daughter's friends and they are always welcome to come to our home or with us on outings. At the moment, the horse is a favorite! Music is a big part of our household, and my daughter has introduced me to the I-pod! I am not a very good dancer, but if you are willing to be my teacher-I am willing to learn! I like walking and bike-riding and both are a part of my regular fitness routine.-being so I can keep up with the children I deal with every day. I never had to cook before, so that has become a new interest as well.I do like to travel- I think people should be friends first so I would be open to a dinner and a movie, a concert, or a sporting event-something that is fun, casual and allows us to get to know each other.I like to just be out and about enjoying interesting conversation!

I own my home, a sweet little cape, which I love. One of its best features is the outdoor shower (enclosed), which I use from Memorial day thru Halloween! I am looking for a friend, a close friend, my best friend, someone special to go with out on the town with, to travel with, to see a movie with, share a meal, a drink, take a hike with, someone special to just spend time with in my home being warmed by the wood stove on a cold evening.
