Hello Gentlemen!!! The best part of internet dating is writing this profile!!! About Me.... 05'. It is beautiful here but I really miss the ocean and the sand underneath my feet! I am an energetic person who enjoys trying new interests and keeps an open mind. My friends would say that I am a "true" friend but then again I would consider them my "true" friends! I guess the definition of a "true" friend is one who knows the great things about you and can laugh with you about your funny ways! There isn't anything I wouldn't do for my friends or family...I look for honesty, faithfulness, intellect, quick wit, humor, playfulness and humor in the person I would like to spend time with and get to know. I am looking for someone to first be my best friend (admit it...if you are going to spend the rest of your life with someone...you really want it to be your best friend!) but a close second would be a person that I could have a healthy intimate life with the rest of my life.I am spontaneous and just enjoy loving life! Love laughter...it is great for the soul! I enjoy going to concerts (lawn ones are fun!)...dancing...traveling...the movies...sporting events...skiing (snow/water)...sailing...and playing tennis (the list is long but that is a start). I have travelled extensively and I have a great appreciation of each country that I have visited. I also enjoy going out and having a nice dinner...whether dressing up or going somewhere casual. I love a great book…especially biographies that include some history as the back drop. Type of food I enjoy.....Italian food...and Spanish food! I am a true believer that music is so important to people...different types of music can fit any type of feeling you are in...or put you in the feeling that you would like to be in. I listen to a wide variety of music but I don't care much for heavy metal or rap. I love dogs...as you can see in the picture...unfortunately I am allergic to cats (sorry). The last few years I have changed careers from the world of spreadsheets and PowerPoint’s to the world of Web Design....still learning! I could go on but what would be the fun of that...when I would rather talk to you and have an actual conversation. So I will close in saying that it has been fun sharing a little about me (there is so much more)...and what I am looking for in that "someone special". I don't believe in rushing into a relationship....I just let it be a happy surprise if it comes my way...if it doesn't then I have made some friends along the way. We are all on here trying to find someone...I hope everyone is being open minded about meeting someone...it could be the first person or it just might be the 20th person...try meeting different kinds of people that have some of the basic common values as yourself..you never know! About me.... I wish I could travel more, but you know, sometimes the job and finances preclude that! That being said, although I'd love to go back to Europe and see more of it, I'd really like to see some more of this great country and our National Parks. Family is very important to me and I would hope to you as well. My parents have been married for 53 yrs, had their differences but have always solved them. There are also a lot of cousins( big reunion in the works for ***. I have 1 son, (age10). I realise alot of people my age are just getting used to the idea of their kids leaving home soon, I chose to be a single parent,so know that if we were to be involved, my son will be part of the package.Things I enjoy: too many to mention, but here are a few.....Skiing, sailing, bowling, reading,movies(mostly action or drama)a good glass of wine, travel, my son and the things he comes up with, riding a motorcycle, a dry sense of humor.I also enjoy going to church and would probably be more involved there, but it is farther from my home that I'd like, and since I work 12 hrs shifts, harder to get involved. I wish I had the patience to learn to quilt before my grandmother dies, but probably won't.( she lives in MT and is ***I also volunteer weekly at the local animal shelter. In the past, I volunteered for the volunteer fire department( and yes I drove the trucks and fought fires!) and volunteered as an EMT-I for a local ***service as well. Sometimes I miss those days....What am I looking for in a man?You need to be comfortable with who you are. A college education would be nice,but may not matter, depending on your maturity and other aspects of your personality and experiences.Life can teach us so much more sometimes. I would hope family is important as well. While I don't mind if you like sports, hopefully , it isn't the only interest you have, because I'm really not into watching it every time it's on. I have gone to a Rockets game, a couple Astros games and to an Aeros game a couple times, probably not football though( I know sacreligous, right?)Wait until my son gets older, he'll probably like football and want to play and then I'll have to go! So far, he hasn't shown any interest in sports where he might get hit( he quit tae kwon do after the sparring stated!) Hopefully , you like various kinds of music.( I'll be honest, I do like country and most of the time I listen to contemporary Christian music, but I do like oldies , jazz and rock.)Hopefully, you enjoy travel, maybe even snow skiing( I took my son the last 2 yrs but didn't get to go this year).Overall,if we have enough of the important things in common, we'll get along. After all, it would be pretty boring if we were carbon copies of each other, right? Hmmm... depends on our interests. I once had a 1st date where we went for a short hike in the woods and then grilled out. Probably one of the best dates I'd had. Usually, its easiest to just meet for lunch or drinks of some kind( I don't drink tea or coffee, but soda is ok too)Actually, breakfast works well, sometimes..
