I don't make a ton of money, but I can pay my bills. I love meeting people and hanging out with friends or someone special, but I need time to myself from time to time, as well. I was married for 18 years, most of which was good. I still believe there are good men out there and a good relationship is still possible. I know it takes work, but when you meet someone and the connection is there, it's a great thing. I was very hurt by my divorce and I needed time to heal, but it's been almost 9 years and I'm good now. I want to be with someone that I can love and respect; that I can laugh and cry with. I want to be with someone who has his head on straight and is basically happy with life and where he is in it. I want to be with someone who makes me laugh, who gets my jokes and who can laugh at himself. I want someone who knows the difference between right and wrong and who tries to do the right thing, even when it's not easy. I want someone who treats me right and makes me a priority in his life; someone who wants to be with me. I don't want to feel like, "I'll do," but I don't want to be someone you can't live without, either. I want to be someone you don't want to live without. I have two "grown" kids and a granddaughter. Both my boys are amazing in their own way. Both are very, very smart. Course neither is as smart as he thinks he is. They're 20 & 22. They still got a lot to learn. They are both out on their own and are doing pretty well. As far as baggage goes...let's be honest. We ALL have baggage. You can't get to our age without life affecting you, unless you've lived in a hole by yourself all your life. (If that's the case, keep fishing. I'm not interested. Yikes. Lol) The thing is not, if we have it, but how we deal with it. On the other hand, if ya got a small over the shoulder bag that fits easily into the overhead luggage compartment, then ok, you're human. I am a Christian. I don't always do what I should, but thank God, my God is a loving and forgiving God.In all honesty, I'm not sure about this online dating thing. It seems kind of cold, kinda like going to the drug store and picking out a tooth paste. Besides, I don't really know what to say, when I'm chatting online with someone I don't know. You loose a lot with text. There's no inflection or body langue to help the conversation. It's hard to tell, when someone's being goofy or flirting or rude or serious and I don't think you can really get to know each other this way.
