About Me

This portion, like me, is a work in progress. I am going through a rough patch (the bald head should make that pretty obvious:-)). However, cancer has taught me that my prior belief that I was happy being single & doing my own thing was wrong. I want a long lasting relationship. I want someone to grow old with. I want a partner, someone to walk beside me, someone to make me laugh, someone to share things with, etc. I want someone that challenges me to be a better person. I want someone that nicely points out a different way of looking at things. It should go without saying that I want someone that is honest, hardworking, monogamous, self sufficient, etc, but some of people seem to have difficulty with these things. So, I'll just say up front, I am not willing to tolerate lying, cheating, or paying for everything. I want to be treated like the lady that I am. That does not mean that I expect my man to pay for everything or shower me roses/gifts. I enjoy being a lazy bum, but I also like exploring new places, hiking, camping, playing softball, walking around the neighborhood, sitting by a fire with friends, etc. I love to be on or near the water, but not so much being in it. I also enjoy crocheting, sewing, & other crafts. I like to read, mainly murder/detective mysteries. I also enjoy keeping up with what my kids are reading, so I also read about teenage vampires and the Diary of a Wimpy Kid. My kids are a huge part of my life. We tend to function as one big unit - making decisions together & doing things together. We do enjoy doing things together, which is amazing since two of them are teenagers. We also love getting in the car & Something else we find to be a lot of fun is Geocaching. If you like puzzles & being outside, then you should give this hobby a try! I would love to find someone to go and have fun with when my kids are gone. And hopefully find my forever friend. This part is hard, cuz like most people I am cautious & want to meet in a public place (so if one of us is an ax murderer lots of folks will be traumatized by the violence) and it should be some sort of brief activity so that if either one of us wants to make a quick escape it won't seem so rude, cuz being polite to strangers is super important. Did I mention I am a smart ass? And I love sarcasm, too.I think the second date is more important. It's the one where we've both decided that there is a spark, a possibility, maybe even butterflies. I think this date should be something neither of us have done before, but both have always wanted to do.

    So I am an extreme extrovert with alot of sarcasm. Wit and sense of humor are required. I have reached a point in my life where fun and excitement is my focal point. And even more important than that is laughter. I just took my first vacation alone and loved every minute of it! I even went parasailing which I absolutely loved! Ive always wanted to take salsa dancing lessons, you game? Got your passport on hand? Im an island girl at heart and love the sand sun and water. I like country and pop music.......rap makes me cringe! I hate to cook so a man that does is always a great plus. I can be wine and candles one night, and all-in at the poker game the next night. Basically I'm more variable than the federal interest rates! But you'll never be bored. I am not afraid to be alone and I like someone who is secure enough to have his own hobbies, interests and life. As an animal lover, furry critters are always in your favor!, children not quite so much. Not quite sure what else to say other than if you know who Fluffy is (without googleing it) thats a plus. But if you think good style is wearing your pants hanging to your knees we really wont get along! None for now
