Recently back in the dating scene. I'm sure it will be a learning experience but I'm game. I'll make this short and sweet by saying I'm a genuine, caring, thoughtful, lighthearted person. I don't take myself too seriously, somewhat of a free spirit, and tend to be pretty laid back. I am, however, a strong minded person with goals and a plan. I like to be social.. love going to restaurants, pubs, festivals, & movies but I also like hanging out at home with a bottle of good wine and good conversation. Having a good social network with friends and family is important. Because of my job I've done my time in the city so looking more for a person who enjoys the country and outdoors. So I'm into anything that's fun in the sun, drives in the country, boating on a lake, trying new foods and restaurants, Friday night fish frys are a must! My philosophy is appreciating the small things in life cause ultimately that's the path to true happiness. Slowing down to smell the roses is important to me. I want someone who is real, passionate, knows what they want, able to share their thoughts and feelings, has a sense of humor, loves having fun and loves kids. I have 2 boys who are my world and would need someone who respects that. Something simple... meet for lunch, dinner. Hang out and chit chat then decide from there.

Why I called myself Girl Friday is beyond me when the last thing I want to do is work as a secretary in an office! It makes no sense except that I have always heard the term used on someone who is enthusiastic and good at doing many different things. That's what I was getting at, but now it's too late. "They" don't seem to let you change a profile title after it's created...So on that note....About me... I love music. I wish I had more friends who would pay the horrific prices it costs these days to see a show. Any show. I love it all, from the symphony to Metallica. I can even listen to some country, but it has to be the classics, like Willie, the ones that remind me of being on the old ranch with my parents and their friends, watching them dance and be funny after a day of searching for peacock feathers with my sister and playing with the horses. After my mother died a few years ago I quit my job in hopes of making the rest of my short existence here on earth more meaningful. I started a nonprofit organization for kids but quickly dismantled it because my true calling is with animals and nature so I ended up living on a chimpanzee sanctuary for two months. I've been a board member ever since and visit four times a year. Back home, I finally have a job in the animal world and will soon be meeting Dr. Jane Goodall. So very excited! But regarding this on line dating....I totally resist it yet find myself sitting here trying to figure out what to say to you all. I don't want to be on this computer. Would rather be out finishing sanding and staining my deck while the weather is so nice. I just moved to a new place and have been doing a lot of improvements. Problem is, it's a rental. Someday I would like to do this with the man of my dreams in the home we build together but until then...well, I tend to move around a lot and make where I am living beautiful.I want to meet someone who knows how to communicate (yes, that includes spelling and grammar), but more importantly, communicate well and often. Someone who values what they have and finds the positive in everything. Someone who does not settle. Someone who loves animals. Someone who thinks family and friends are important. Someone who loves to travel, see new places, go on adventures, and is spontaneous. Someone who is loyal and non-judgmental. Someone who is romantic and intimate yet with a kinky side. Someone who is in it for better or for worse, who knows getting through the tough times is worth it. O.K. enough! I guess I have to make contact with "someone" if this has any chance of working. Or if I have any chance of getting off this computer and enjoying the day. I hope you are enjoying it too and I wish you the best of luck in your search. Coffee to go and morning walk on the beach...

I'm at a point in my life where I am pretty happy. I love my job, it allows me to travel. I'm not gone too much, but enough to know I like it and want to travel more in my free time. I like bowling, I am even on a league. The Looney Bin is always a good time but I don't seem get out there as often as I'd like. My desire on POF? I'd really like to find that special someone that adds an extra smile to my day. I'm mostly attracted to business professionals. Don't get me wrong, I know there are a lot of fun and cute country boys out there, but that's just not my thing. I'm am def not a country girl. Granted, I look fine in a pair of jeans ;-) but I prefer a pretty dress and a night at the PAC every time.My kids are grown and I have a lot of freedom, I wish to enjoy that with someone who gets my heart racing. Friendship is important, but I'm willing to wait for that something extra. This is my one life. I want to really enjoy it with the right person. I have high standards, but it is also my desire to live up to someone else's high standards. I share, I listen, I care, and I wish to be cared for.So if you're ambitious, goal oriented, and just the right amount of mischievous, send me a message, let's chat and see where life takes us.
