About Me

Despite working in the Sales and Marketing profession, I struggle to market myself personally on this site. This is my first venture into this type of dating platform, so please bear with me. :)I am an independent, confident, career-minded woman. Over the past several years, I've chosen my priorities - my son and my career.-based company, with it's North America headquarters located in Reading, PA. I am in my 18th year with the company and sincerely love what I do. Travel is a real passion of mine, and with "North America" as my territory, this job has certainly afforded me the opportunity to explore. I am also a single parent to a 16 year-old young man. He's a high-school junior, avid soccer player, and a member of the local JROTC, aspiring to enlist in the U.S. Marine Corps. I am self-sufficient, and own my home, so I haven't felt the need to make finding someone to compliment my life a real priority. Turning 40 has made me re-evaluate my thinking. :) I do miss the companionship and the feeling that I belong to someone, and I am looking for someone who will appreciate me for the genuine person I am, as well as for my accomplishments both professionally, and as a single parent. I'd love to find someone who feels as lucky to be with me as I do to be with them. While I continue to focus on my career, all the success in the world isn't going to mean anything without having someone special to love and share it with.The late night bar scene as a regular activity does not interest me, but I could still enjoy a great dance club every once in a while. I can take my son fishing, then throw on my heels to meet friends to check out a new restaurant or see a live band. I am also always up for a day/night at a sports bar to catch a football or baseball game, or a soccer match. There is also nothing wrong with spending a night in, or on a picnic with a bottle of wine somewhere by the water. I love to cook and entertain, but I could use someone to help me perfect my grilling skills! In summary, I'm pretty much up for anything! As long as there are smiles, laughter, and good company, it's time well spent. I am a big believer that your appearance is a real representation of who you are and the way you approach other aspects of your life. I am not high maintenance, but I do take pride in how I present myself. It's also important to me that the person I am with feels proud when we walk into a room together. I would hope that person feels similarly about themselves, as well. Just to note, my favorite look for a guy for a night out is jeans with a sport coat and dress shoes. :) So, I suppose this wouldn't be complete without mentioning what I'm looking for in a partner: honesty, loyalty, respect, compassion, romance, pride in yourself, the ability to make time for fun as a couple, and have a desire to find that one special person. If you are just looking for a date for tonight, a woman to support you, if you've not been completely honest in your profile, haven't decided on a direction for your life, need to be the center of attention, or can't appreciate the value of a true partnership, please do not try to contact me.     I'm a single mom with 2 awesome kids who are the world to me. They are active in sports and I am 100% behind them supporting and cheering them on. Football...cheer and any other sporting events will always come first. I shoot hoops with my boy and run football plays with him, I also learn cheers and practice with my daughter.     Some basic things about me:When I'm not at work, I'm often found on my PC, or relaxing somewhere with a book in my face.Of course I do other things - I might take walk in the park, catch a movie *** the theatre, watch something on the TV, pop over to the local pub for food and such... you know - normal stuff...Still don't exactly know what I wanna be when I grow up; happy, some place where I matter, comfortable & content...I'm pretty easy going. I'm usually able to see all points of view in a debate/conversation.I like nature - when I go camping I prefer in a tent. I like sleeping in on weekends - I love lazy Saturday. I am not a morning person...I like most music - Alternative, Rock, & Metal are good. I like classical, folk, & ambient too. Not a big fan of most rap or country tho.Still here? Ok - a few things that might hit home:I don't care much for shopping. No, I don't have 50 pairs of shoes... please don't make me try everything on at the store...I'm not a sports fan by any stretch of the imagination. Sorry guys that are big into their teams. I might have heard which team won the big game on the radio as I drove to work but, I really don't know anything about your bracket, & I can't even pretend to be interested, well not for any long length of time anyway. I could be happy for you when you won or sympathetic if you didn't.. but I digress...I'm not against kids. I enjoy my friends kids (most of the time). It's great if you have a kid(s). It's awesome if you are a devoted dad. But I am not interested in having children anymore. I think I'm past that at this point in my life. I'd rather hang with close friends in the privacy of someone's home than at the bar where I'll smile & nod, pretending I heard whatever it was you just said for the 4th time (my friend reading this argued we could text, ha!) Besides, it's cheaper to buy it from the store, and I don't care so much about people watching (my friends are weird enough). Something where we can be comfortable to chat for a while: nothing too loud or crazylunch/dinner/coffeeWeather pending - a nice stroll through the park, or drinks on the patio
